Finance Management Trainee (Hybrid Finance × Data × Business) - Product Supply
Finance Management Trainee (Hybrid Finance × Data × Business) - Product Supply
Kickstart your career at the intersection of Finance, Data Science and IT — right where products are made.
If you’re the kind of graduate who gets equally excited about P&L, a dataset, and experimenting with AI — this is your program.
We are a manufacturing company operating in the Consumer Health and Fast‑Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) space, and we are proud of the products we create every day — products that aim to reach billions of consumers worldwide and make a real difference in people’s lives.
Guided by Bayer’s mission “Health for all, hunger for none,” we are shaping the future of finance by combining business impact, technology and purpose.
In our Finance Management Trainee program, you will be based at one of our production facilities, close to our products and operations. Your home assignment sits in Product Supply Finance, complemented by ~50% rotations across Commercial Finance, Digital Finance and key stakeholders. This ensures you gain a true end‑to‑end understanding of how value is created, steered and transformed through data and technology.
This is not a traditional finance traineeship. It is on‑the‑job learning by design: you will apply newly acquired knowledge immediately, work on real business questions, and actively experiment with AI, analytics and emerging technologies in a manufacturing environment.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In Product Supply Finance, you will learn how a production facility operates and how shop‑floor reality is translated into financial insights that steer decisions.
You will:
- Partner closely with experienced Finance Business Partners on site, learning manufacturing finance hands‑on.
- Translate production processes into numbers, connecting operational drivers to P&L, working capital and performance.
- Actively identify opportunities for automation, analytics, self‑service reporting and AI‑enabled insights in day‑to‑day finance work.
- Work with Bills of Materials (BOMs) to understand product costing and value drivers.
- Collaborate on periodic reporting, planning and forecasting, together with central reporting and analytics partners.
- Present financial results to site and stakeholder management, learning how to tell the story behind the numbers.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives where finance, operations and efficiency come together.
WHO YOU ARE
We’re looking for graduates with up to 2 years of work experience who want to become hybrid professionals at the crossroads of Finance, Data and IT.
You bring:
- A degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, Data Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering or similar.
- Advanced English level.
- Strong curiosity, learning agility and a proactive mindset.
- A clear affinity with data, systems and digital solutions.
- Enthusiasm for experimenting with AI and new technologies.
- A genuine interest in manufacturing, production environments and FMCG operations.
- Confidence to ask questions, challenge the status quo and roll up your sleeves.
- Strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity.
- Willingness to move/relocate internationally.
WHAT WE OFFER
- A steep learning curve across Finance, Data and Technology — and how they interlink.
- Real responsibility from day one, with your work embedded in real processes and decisions.
- Coaching and mentoring from experienced finance professionals on site and globally.
- A purpose‑driven environment aligned with Bayer’s mission:
“Health for all, hunger for none.” - A strong pipeline into future roles across finance, analytics, digital and business partnering.
