Power BI Administrator  

Job Brief  

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Administrator to manage, monitor, and optimize our enterprise Power BI environment. The ideal candidate will oversee Power BI infrastructure, ensure data governance, manage workspace access, and maintain system performance. You will work closely with BI developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing Power BI solutions.  

Key Responsibilities

- Administer and maintain enterprise Power BI environments (Service, Gateway, Report Server).  
- Manage workspace configurations, user roles, and access permissions.  
- Oversee Power BI Service capacity, licensing, and governance policies.  
- Monitor report performance and optimize dashboards for efficiency and load times.  
- Collaborate with IT and Security teams to ensure compliance with corporate data policies.  
- Automate dataset refreshes and manage Power BI Gateways.  
- Manage tenant settings, security groups, and content certification processes.  
- Implement best practices for data governance and workspace management.  
- Troubleshoot user and performance issues in Power BI Service and Report Server.  
- Stay current with Microsoft Power Platform updates and provide guidance for adoption.  

Skill Requirements

Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.  
- 5+ years of experience with Power BI administration and Microsoft BI Stack (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS).  
- Strong knowledge of Power BI Service architecture, DAX, Power Query, and Row-Level Security.  
- Hands-on experience with Power BI Gateway setup and maintenance.  
- Familiarity with Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Fabric, and Power Platform governance.  
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.  
- Microsoft Power BI or Azure certifications preferred.
