Job Summary

Application Requirements (Essential)

・ At least 5 years’ practical experience in testing and evaluation of automotive components or thermal management equipment

・ Experience in establishing test plans, measurement methods and pass/fail criteria based on required specifications

・ Experience in measuring temperature, flow rate, pressure, voltage and current, and in data analysis

・ Experience in reviewing specifications for evaluation equipment and fixtures, or in setting up measurement environments

・ Experience in analysing the causes of faults and implementing improvements in collaboration with the design department

・ Experience in performance and reliability evaluation during mass production development

Key Responsibilities

Main Scope of Duties

・ Formulation of evaluation plans based on ECH/ECCH requirements, and the establishment of measurement methods and pass/fail criteria corresponding to each requirement

・ Setting of measurement points for temperature, flow rate, pressure, voltage and current, and the construction of evaluation benches, jigs and measurement environments

・ Planning, conducting and analysing the results of tests on heating performance, pressure loss, leakage, insulation resistance, dielectric strength, vibration and thermal cycling, amongst others

・ Evaluation of behaviour under abnormal conditions such as low flow rate, flow stoppage, flow path blockage, air entrainment and pump stoppage

・ Assessment of the validity of temperature sensor placement, responsiveness, overheating detection time and protective actions

・ Analysis of discrepancies between simulation results and actual measurement data, and submission of improvement proposals to the design and analysis teams

・ Safety verification against unintended heating, failure to cease heating, overheating at low flow rates, sensor faults, control circuit failures, etc.

・ Fault injection tests in collaboration with the system and control teams, and verification of anomaly detection and shutdown operations

・ Preparation of evaluation reports and management of evaluation issues in preparation for mass production launch

Skill Requirements

Desirable Qualifications

・ Experience in evaluating insulation resistance and dielectric strength for high-voltage products

・ Experience in comparing and verifying thermal-fluid analysis results against actual measurement results

・ Experience in vibration, thermal cycling and endurance testing

・ Experience in functional safety verification and fault injection testing

・ Experience in product evaluation using LIN/CAN

・ Experience in automating measurement and data processing

・ Experience in evaluating thermal management components such as ECH and ECCH
