As a Security Officer, you will help protect people, property, and assets while supporting a world-class innovation environment. The Security Officer will deliver exceptional customer service, maintain a safe and secure site, and uphold the values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness. All Security Officer candidates must hold a valid SIA licence before commencing operational duties.

Job Description

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Welcoming and assisting staff, visitors, and contractors.
• Conducting regular safety and security patrols.
• Ensuring compliance with site regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Supporting emergency response procedures, including evacuations and searches.
• Remaining vigilant at all times, reporting incidents, and preventing disruption.
• Accurately maintaining records, reports, and handover notes.
• Operating site gates and controlling access to the premises.
• Carrying out foot patrols both indoors and outdoors.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:

• A valid SIA licence.
• Previous security industry experience.
• Physically fit and capable of completing regular foot patrols.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent front-of-house and customer service skills.
• Reliable, professional, and dependable.
• Confident and assertive approach to security operations.
• Proactive and decisive, with the ability to work in a high-security environment.
• Comfortable working both inside and outside in all weather conditions.
• The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history.
• Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken.
