School of Sports and Health - Senior Executive/Assistant Manager

[What the role is]

The School of Sports and Health (SSH), whose vision is to be the leading educator in the area of sports and health, invites applicants to join its motivated and passionate team.

[What you will be working on]

This role is responsible for the development, deployment and management of shared AI infrastructure and digital platforms supporting SSH's TIE initiatives. Key focus areas include AI platform operations, cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, cybersecurity, digital transformation and technical support for multiple concurrent projects.

The individual will contribute and support in the following areas:

• Assist in the design of programmes associated with data analysis and machine learning

• Assist the project team in research data collection and administration

• Contribute to administration functions e.g. report preparation

• Manage ad-hoc research activities and assignments

This position will be on a 2-year contract.

[What we are looking for]

Applicants should possess the following:

• Strong project administration skills. Preferably with experience in managing research projects

• Strong analytical skills involving data science, machine learning and computer vision associated with human performance

• Excellent Interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with management and employees

• Sound planning and organisation skills, with a strong sense of responsibility for completing assigned duties on time

• Hands-on and operational with the ability to work with people at all levels

• Proficient in digital design cum data-science applications
