Founding Engineer
About the Role
Join an early-stage AI company as its first engineering hire, partnering with the founder to turn a working product into reliable infrastructure for AI-powered service businesses. You will help shape the architecture, agent runtime, and engineering practices as the product scales.
What You'll Do
Rebuild the existing product into infrastructure designed to support significant growth.
Design and operate agent systems, including orchestration, memory, and verification.
Own projects end to end across backend, infrastructure, frontend, and AI agents.
Set technical direction, choose the stack, and establish a high-quality engineering culture.
Ship improvements weekly or faster to customers using the product in their businesses.
What We're Looking For
At least two years shipping production software, or an equivalent record as a founder, solo builder, or exceptional early-career engineer.
Full-stack range, with the ability to work across backend, infrastructure, and user interfaces.
Experience building and operating production LLM or AI agent systems relied on by real users.
Experience evolving a working prototype into scalable infrastructure, including architecture, data models, runtime, and orchestration.
Evidence of owning technical decisions in an early-stage environment, and the ability to explain the difficult parts of systems you have shipped.
Experience with agent orchestration, memory, evaluations, verification, or multi-agent workflows is useful.
Founder experience or familiarity with recruiting, agencies, or other service-delivery businesses is a plus.
