Design Lead - C, Creo/ProE, Sheet Metal Design

Job Summary

Support HWTE Lead Engineers in standardizing, maintaining, and updating Common Mechanical Design (CMD) documentation, 3D CADdesign libraries, and global component lists, while driving adoption across System Integrator (SI) partners.

Key Responsibilities

• CMD Documentation & Specifications: Maintain and update CMD engineering documentation, design guidelines, and technical standardsunder FTE guidance.
• CAD & Design Package Maintenance: Update and validate CMD 3D CAD models, 2D manufacturing drawings, DFM (Design forManufacturing) packages, and tolerance analyses according to the latest hardware requirements.
• Component Standardization: Audit, update, and manage CMD global standard component libraries (e.g., standard actuators, motors,cylinders, sensors, pneumatic components, and hardware).
• SI Integration & System Alignment: Partner with System Integrators (SIs) to drive the integration of the CMD database into SIs' internalCAD/PLM systems.
• Vendor Onboarding & Technical Support: Train and onboard new SI engineering teams on CMD design principles, release processes, anddesign review standards.

Skill Requirements

• Experience: 3+ years of mechanical design experience in custom automation equipment or non-standard automated testing stations (HWTE testing station design experience preferred).
• Component Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of standard mechanical automation components (direct-drive/servo motors, pneumaticcylinders, linear guides, belt drives, actuators, etc.).
• CAD Proficiency: High proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and drafting using SolidWorks or Siemens NX.
• Manufacturing Acumen: Solid understanding of regular machining processes (CNC milling/turning, sheet metal, surface finishing) andDFM/DFA principles. 

  Communication: Fluent spoken and written English and Mandarin; technical document writing experience preferred.

Other Requirements

Engineers need domestic travel. They work in sites and need to travel to SI for onsite working as well.
