We are looking for a Data Platform Tech Lead to join our Tech Transformation team within the DATA, AI & ANALYTICS CoE at MC Digital, and we believe we will be #betterwithyou!

We count on you to...

• Define and evolve the Data Platform architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with the needs of different business domains;

• Technically lead the development and evolution of data products and pipelines, promoting consistency across teams and initiatives;

• Establish, implement, and ensure the adoption of standards, principles, and best practices, including data ingestion, transformation, modeling, quality, observability, and governance;

• Act as a technical reference for teams, supporting architectural decisions, solving complex problems, and sharing knowledge;

• Define and oversee technical roadmaps for the data platform, ensuring the continuous evolution of the technology ecosystem and the sustainable reduction of technical debt;

• Ensure engineering best practices, including version control, CI/CD, automation, dependency management, reprocessing, monitoring, and data SLAs;

• Lead technology modernization, migration, and data product evolution initiatives, ensuring functional continuity and data quality;

• Collaborate with Platform, Infrastructure, Architecture, and Engineering teams to ensure robust, scalable solutions aligned with the technology strategy;

• Promote a culture of technical excellence, mentoring, and continuous improvement within Data teams.

What you should bring with you...

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field;

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or equivalent roles;

• Strong knowledge of data modeling and storage (Data Warehouse, Data Lake, etc.);

• Experience with SQL, Python, and PySpark (or equivalent data processing technologies);

• Knowledge of engineering best practices: code versioning (Git), code reviews, development standards, and automation;

• Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., Azure, GCP, or AWS);

• Familiarity with distributed ecosystems, ideally including Hadoop, Hive, Spark, or Databricks;

• Technical leadership skills, ensuring best practices, knowledge sharing, and team guidance;

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to adapt technical language to different audiences;

• Autonomy, proactivity, and a strong sense of responsibility;

• Delivery and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute initiatives that generate real business impact;

• Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies and best practices;

• Knowledge of AI.
