Job Summary

A Backup & Storage Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and supporting enterprise backup, recovery, and storage solutions across on-premises and cloud environments. The role focuses on ensuring data availability, protection, disaster recovery readiness, and efficient storage management in hybrid cloud infrastructures. The engineer collaborates with infrastructure, cloud, security, and application teams to deliver scalable, secure, and cost-effective data protection solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and maintain enterprise backup solutions across on-premises and cloud platforms.
Configure, monitor, and optimize backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes.
Manage storage infrastructure, including SAN, NAS, object storage, and cloud storage services.
Ensure backup success rates and perform periodic recovery testing.
Implement and maintain data retention, archival, and compliance policies.
