Summary:

The A&P Mechanic (Level II) will perform scheduled/unscheduled aircraft maintenance on all aircraft systems; piston engine, propeller, airframe flight control, landing gear, troubleshooting systems, sheet metal and composite repair.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures.

• Ensure aircraft are ready for flights and in safe operating condition.

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on multi-engine piston aircraft.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose aircraft systems.

• Conduct repairs on aircraft components, including engines, propellers, and landing gears. 

• Familiar with Federal Aviation Regulations, operational procedures, and industry standards.

• Regularly updates technical and aeronautical expertise through training, self-study, and operational experience.

• Document all maintenance and repair work in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures. 

• Perform all maintenance in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations, and manufacturers’ technical data.

• Responsible for personal and company tool accountability to include reporting unserviceable tools and equipment.

• Perform serviceability checks prior to operating powered and non-powered support equipment.

• Comply with established policies, procedures and standards.

• Comply with all safety, environmental security and housekeeping standards.

• Comply with training requirements.

• Operate vehicles both special purpose and regular as authorized.

• Other duties as assigned.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent  required .

• Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license  required .

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of 4 Years recent experience in general aviation.

• Valid and active driver's license required.

• Read and interpret aircraft diagrams, charts and schematics.

• Lift up to 50 pounds.

Knowledgeable and experienced using computers and aircraft software.

• Must be able to pass background check.

Currently possess or able to obtain an active DoD Secret clearance, or higher.

Preferred Qualifications

• Inspection Authorization (IA)

• Airborne ISR Mission Systems experience.

• Familiar with DCMA 8210 & FGOP.

Active DoD Top Secret clearance

• Experience with Cessna 337 Skymaster.

Work Environment

• FAR Part 91 aircraft maintenance in a hangar and ramp environment.

• Availability during nights, weekends, & holidays as needed.

Travel    

• Some travel is required.
