WMS Engineer

Responsibilities

Education, Experience & Technical Qualifications

1. Education and Experience

• Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent qualification.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience supporting business applications and operational processes, with a strong aptitude for application systems and business process development.
• Experience in the retail and e-commerce industries is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, and cross-functional groups.

2. Application Experience

• Hands-on experience in Manhattan WMOS (Warehouse Management for Open Systems) application support and implementation.
• Experience with Manhattan WMOS SCPP, version 2011 or later, is preferred.
• Experience with Manhattan Active is a plus.
• Experience with the Manhattan suite of products, including Labor Management, Yard Management, and Slotting, is a plus.
• Knowledge of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) integration and robotics systems with Manhattan WMOS is a plus.

3. Business Analysis and Implementation

• Ability to gather and document requirements for internal and external systems.
• Experience analyzing and mapping existing business processes.
• Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to support solution development and implementation.
• Assist with Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate developed solutions.
• Deploy solutions to production after successful completion of QA and UAT testing.
• Provide post-go-live support to ensure solution stability and resolve production issues.

4. Desired Technical Skills

Experience with one or more of the following technologies is desired:

• Operating Systems: UNIX, Linux
• Programming Languages: Java, Python, C, C++
• Databases and Query Languages: Oracle, SQL
• Reporting and Analytics: IBM Cognos

5. Technical Proficiency Requirements

• SQL: Expert-level proficiency in SQL is required.
• Programming: Good working knowledge of at least one programming language listed above.
• Application Support: Ability to troubleshoot application issues, support implementations, and assist with production deployments.
• Testing and Deployment: Familiarity with QA, UAT, production releases, and post-implementation support processes.
