YOUR ROLE
As Unix Systems Administrator (Linux/Unix) you will be part of a cross functional and multicultural team supporting Network Operations digital services. Working in our team you will cover a key role in ensuring that Unix and Linux platforms remain reliable, secure, maintainable and available to internal customers.
The role of Unix Systems Administrator (Linux/Unix) consists in:
- Administer Linux and Unix systems across development, testing and production environments.
- Ensure platform availability, performance and reliability.
- Monitor infrastructure, investigate incidents and perform root cause analysis.
- Execute system installations, configurations, upgrades, patching and lifecycle management activities.
- Implement and optimize backup and recovery processes.
- Automate operational tasks using scripting and automation tools.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and system hardening best practices.
- Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation.
YOUR PROFILE
- Installation, configuration and maintenance of operating systems.
- Patching, upgrades and package management.
- Shell scripting (Bash and/or KornShell).
- User, group, permissions, SSH, sudo and authentication management.
- Infrastructure protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, NTP).
- File systems, storage and system services.
- Monitoring, logging, alerting, backup and recovery.
- Data Ingestion and File Management.
- Automation and CI/CD pipeline development.
- Security hardening and vulnerability remediation.
NICE TO HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent working experience
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SUSE, AIX or Solaris
- Experience with Ansible, virtualization, containers, Kubernetes or cloud infrastructure, devops and CI/CD pipelines
- Relevant Linux, Unix, cloud, security or IT service management certification.
