Job Description

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to support quality engineering across web, mobile, and API-based applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on automation experience using Java, Selenium, Appium, and Rest Assured, along with the ability to design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated tests for web, mobile, and API applications.
• Build and enhance scalable automation frameworks using Java, Selenium WebDriver, Appium, and Rest Assured.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end testing across application releases.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and QA teams to understand requirements and establish appropriate test coverage.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, and requirements traceability documentation.
• Identify, document, track, and validate defects through resolution.
• Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot automation failures, identify root causes, and communicate quality status clearly to stakeholders.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of QA and automation practices.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on programming experience with Java, particularly for test automation.
• Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver for web UI automation.
• Hands-on experience with Appium for Android and/or iOS mobile application testing.
• Experience with Rest Assured for REST API automation and validation.
• Experience with automation and testing frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, BDD, or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of Git or comparable version-control tools.
• Experience with Maven or Gradle.
• Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.
• Understanding of SQL and database validation is preferred.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in banking, financial services, or enterprise application testing.
• Experience with cloud-based testing environments and containerized test execution.
• Exposure to performance, accessibility, and/or security testing.
