Job Description
Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated Test Engineer to support vehicle software validation and testing activities . The candidate will work directly from the customer location in Waterloo and contribute to software integration, validation, automation testing, and vehicle testing initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in ECE, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in Software Testing or Validation.
- Willingness to work onsite from the customer location in Waterloo, ON.
- Hands-on experience in Automation Testing.
- Programming knowledge in Python and/or C++.
- Understanding of AI-assisted testing and use of AI tools in test automation.
- Good analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Automotive domain experience or knowledge.
- Experience working with vehicle validation or automotive testing environments.
- Valid Canadian Driver's License (preferred).
- Exposure to automotive software integration and validation processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Flash software and firmware on development and test vehicles.
- Maintain and manage Golden Benches used for validation activities.
- Execute SVAT (Software Vehicle Acceptance Testing) and PVAT (Production Vehicle Acceptance Testing).
- Run software integration and regression test suites.
- Perform vehicle-level functional and validation testing.
- Conduct ad hoc testing based on engineering and customer requirements.
- Analyze test results, identify issues, and report defects with detailed findings.
- Collaborate with development, validation, and customer teams to resolve issues efficiently.
- Support continuous improvement of automation frameworks and validation processes.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools and techniques to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
