Team Lead, Sales Development

As the SDR Team Lead, you play a pivotal role in developing talent, sharpening our messaging, and supporting the pipeline engine that fuels our business.
Our Sales Development team is the front line of our go‑to‑market strategy. The Team Lead helps ensure every SDR is enabled, supported, and equipped to perform at the highest level. You’ll guide new hires, strengthen the team’s outreach quality, and provide strategic insight to help the team hit their goals.

What you’ll do
• Act as first line of management to a small team of Sales Development reps
• Provide real-time coaching to SDRs on messaging, calls, emails, time management, and prioritization.
• Assist in onboarding and training for new SDR hires through structured learning, shadowing, and skill-building sessions.
• Refine outbound messaging, talk tracks, and email templates to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
• Monitor call quality, outreach execution, and messaging alignment across the team.
• Assist the SDR Manager with performance insights during pipeline pursuit weeks, including progress updates and team focus areas.
• Help track pacing toward activity expectations and target attainment (without owning operational reporting).
• Identify strategic levers, persona targeting, channel mix, sequence adjustments, to improve conversion rates.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Enablement, and RevOps to share team insights, identify and source potential leads and align on key initiatives.
• Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance team environment, celebrating wins and reinforcing best practices.
• Contact qualified prospects using a consultative sales approach
• Outbound call, engage with and develop prospects to be closed by Sales team
• Document, track and monitor all leads and activities in Salesforce.com
• Contact and schedule appointments with Account Executive(s) in target vertical
• Nurture longer term prospects
• Refine a solid understanding of B2B sales concepts

What you bring
• 2+ years of SDR or BDR experience with consistent performance and demonstrated mastery of the role.
• Experience mentoring peers, leading trainings, or supporting team onboarding.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, Outreach, Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and other sales tools.
• A desire to grow into leadership and contribute meaningfully to team culture and performance.

This is a full time position. The annual base salary hiring range for this position is [$56,000 - $68,000] for employees located in the United States and [CA$53,000 - CA$70,000] for employees located in Canada. The salary range reflects expected base pay for this role at the time of posting. The compensation package offered will be determined by factors such as demonstrated experience, skills, and internal equity. Expected base pay hiring ranges for candidates outside of the United States and Canada will be reviewed during the interview process, if selected. This position is eligible for incentive compensation in the form of a commission plan.
