Job Summary

HCLTech is looking for an accomplished Load Balancer Expert for its Noida location. This is a critical technology role responsible for engineering, operational stability, security, service resilience and continuous improvement across a complex enterprise environment. The role requires deep hands-on expertise, disciplined change execution, strong troubleshooting capability and effective collaboration with infrastructure, application, security, service-management and vendor teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineer F5 BIG-IP LTM/DNS (GTM), NGINX, HAProxy and cloud load-balancing services; configure VIPs, pools, nodes, health monitors, profiles, persistence, SNAT/NAT and SSL/TLS offload.
• Design Layer 4/Layer 7 traffic management, reverse proxy, content switching, redirects, header manipulation, HTTP/2, certificates, cipher standards, iRules/policies, DNS/GSLB and multi-site failover.
• Troubleshoot packet flow, resets, latency, SSL handshakes, health checks, persistence, routing, asymmetric traffic and application dependencies using logs, tcpdump/Wireshark and platform analytics.
• Implement HA, clustering, upgrades, patching, backup/restore, capacity planning, monitoring, RBAC, change control and automation through APIs, Ansible or Terraform.

• Design, deploy and support highly available application-delivery solutions using F5 BIG-IP, NGINX, HAProxy and applicable cloud load balancers.
• Create and optimize VIPs, pools, profiles, monitors, persistence, SNAT/NAT, SSL offload, content switching, redirects and traffic policies.
• Troubleshoot end-to-end Layer 4/Layer 7 flows, TLS handshakes, resets, latency, routing asymmetry, health checks and application dependencies.
• Plan upgrades, certificate renewals, platform lifecycle, backup/recovery, capacity and high-availability testing.
• Automate standard provisioning, validation and reporting through APIs, Ansible or Terraform.

DESIRED CERTIFICATIONS (GOOD TO HAVE)

• F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator
• F5 Certified Technology Specialist - Local Traffic Manager
• NGINX certification/training
• AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty or Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate
• ITIL 4 Foundation.

PROFICIENCY EXPECTATIONS

Competent (L3): Independently deploy standard virtual servers and policies, resolve common incidents, execute approved changes, maintain documentation and meet operational SLAs.

Proficient (L4): Own architecture and complex troubleshooting, lead migrations/upgrades and major incidents, optimize security/performance, define standards and mentor L3 engineers.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Strong hands-on experience in the stated technology domain and enterprise operations environment.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot complex issues, document solutions and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong communication, change management, incident management and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work from the Noida location and support operational requirements as applicable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITIES

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience supporting business-critical enterprise environments and handling complex incidents and changes.
• Working knowledge of ITIL-aligned incident, problem, change, request and knowledge-management processes.
• Ability to create HLD/LLD, implementation plans, rollback plans, SOPs, runbooks, RCA documents and operational reports.
• Strong stakeholder communication, ownership, analytical thinking and collaboration across application, infrastructure, security and vendor teams.
• Ability to participate in operational support, planned changes and major-incident activities according to business requirements.
