Student Worker
The Impact You'll Make
Are you studying hardware engineering, mechatronics, or a similar field and want to turn theory into practice?
We are looking for a Student Worker within Hardware Engineering to join our R&D team in HydronicS Energy Solutions. You will support our hardware engineers in the day-to-day development and maintenance of electronic products for heating and district energy applications.
A key part of the role will be supporting the practical tasks that keep hardware development moving, particularly around components, PCB libraries, testing, documentation, and design support. At the same time, we want to explore how AI and automation can make these tasks faster and smarter.
What You’ll Be Doing
-
Finding the right parts by searching, comparing, and evaluating electronic components and alternatives, and keeping our schematic symbols, PCB footprints, and component libraries accurate and up to date
-
Supporting schematic and PCB design, including component changes and redesigns of existing hardware
-
Building and testing prototypes, carrying out measurements, troubleshooting, and verification to make sure designs perform as intended
-
Documenting components, designs, and test results so the whole team can build on your work
-
Exploring AI and automation to speed up tasks like component search, datasheet analysis, and footprint creation
What We're Looking For
-
You’re studying for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Embedded Systems, or a related field
-
You have a basic understanding of analog and digital electronics and can read schematics and datasheets
-
You have some experience with, or a strong interest in, PCB design, ideally in Altium Designer
-
You enjoy hands-on work with lab equipment and soldering, and basic programming or scripting is a plus
-
You’re structured, technically curious, and keen to use AI and new technologies to improve engineering workflows
You don’t need to know every tool from day one. Your curiosity and willingness to learn matter most.
