Position Summary

The Staff Accountant ensures the accuracy and integrity of Accounts Payable and

General Ledger transactions by preparing journal entries and reconciliations. This role is

cri􀆟cal in maintaining compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.


Key Responsibilities

 Prepare accruals to ensure proper expense recognition, completeness and accuracy.

 Classify accounting transactions in accordance with budgets.

 Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant accounting laws and regula􀆟ons.

 Perform general ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

 Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team to uphold internal controls and

streamline invoice processing.

 Review custom entries and gather documentation for processing.

 Maintain thorough documentation to support audits and internal reviews.

 Generate ad-hoc financial reports and analysis for management.

 Apply understanding of Value Added Tax (VAT) frameworks in applicable transactions.


Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

 A minimum of 2 years work experience in accounting.

 Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., ERP systems).

 Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical thinking.

 Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
