Role Summary:

As the Sr. Finance Analyst - Vet Channel and Reporting, Customer Development for Hill's Pet Nutrition Inc., you will provide financial leadership for the Veterinary Customer Development team through financial planning, business and financial analysis, and cross functional partnering. This role plays a key role in driving revenue growth and ensuring internal controls compliance for all customer investment activities and will interact with all levels of management across the subsidiary. In addition to your core commercial business partner function, you will also be responsible for centralized commercial reporting and internal/external audit management for the CDO Finance function.

Responsibilities:

• Support the financial planning process, focusing on budgeting and estimates, to drive strategic decision-making

• Manage month-end closing activities, including balance sheet reconciliation and profit & loss (P&L) reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Develop and leverage strong relationships with cross-functional business partners to uncover opportunities for revenue growth and process improvements

• Play a key role in SOX compliance by supporting departmental audits, both internal and external

• Provide oversight and guidance to ensure the CDT’s adherence to customer investment controls

• Assist with the preparation of monthly and ad hoc departmental reports and participate in special projects as needed

• Review and revise existing processes to drive continuous improvement, drive efficiencies, and ensure compliance across all activities

• Provide critical financial analysis support to the Customer Development Organization to inform business strategies

• Support Commercial and Field team business partners, with driving profitable growth across complex business channels, while maintaining a key focus on controls and compliance

• Drive modelling and strategic guidance into annual joint value planning sessions for any large Vet Clinic customer groups
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or  a Finance related field 

• 4+ years of experience in a finance environment including commercial finance and analytics.

• Experience in using common business software (i.e., Google Office Suite and SAP)

• Experience in financial analysis, developing insights and predictive analyses to influence business decisions and address issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA/CPA

• SAP proficiency

• Advanced user knowledge in Excel, Google Sheets

• Proficiency with digital tools such as DOMO, Sigma, Snowflake and other reporting tools. 

• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) as well as the ability to clearly present financial issues

• Ability to manage multiple activities and set priorities. 

• Communicates clear, compelling recommendations to business partners in language they can comprehend.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $96,800.00 - $137,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year).
