Specialist - Motor Design

Education - Diploma in Mechanical

Experience - 8+ years.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for 3D modelling of motor parts and Programming CNC machine.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D drawings.
• Programming and operation of laser cutting machine or CNC. 
• Creation of 2D part drawings and assembly drawings of traction motor.
• Get motor parts made in collaboration with Prototype team.
• Benchmarking and generation of ideas for better performance, quality, cost, weight.
• Ability to solve novel, difficult design problems with tight timing constraints.

Technical/ Functional Domain

• Knowledge of automotive drive train and components in EV and HEV drivetrain.
• Knowledge of CNC / Laser machine programming.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T.
• Knowledge of mechanical fixture designing.
• Strong knowledge of the mechanical design of motors & good understanding of construction/manufacturing methods of electric machines. Emphasis on documentation.

• Software skills: UGNX, AutoCAD.
