About the role

We're looking for a Senior Tech Recruiter to own our most important and hardest technical searches across Engineering, ML & Research, Data, Infrastructure, and Security.

You'll partner closely with technical leaders to hire senior engineers, researchers, and technical leaders who can operate at the frontier of generative AI. You'll also bring structure and market expertise that help the wider team hire better.

What you'll do

• Own full-cycle recruiting for senior and hard-to-fill technical roles across Backend, Frontend, ML, Research, MLOps, Data, Infrastructure, and Security.

• Partner with technical hiring managers to define role requirements, candidate profiles, and interview processes.

• Build talent maps of top engineering and ML teams in the region and internationally.

• Proactively source passive senior candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, technical communities, referrals, and AI sourcing tools.

• Screen candidates for technical depth, seniority, motivation, and product impact.

• Lead offer conversations and close senior candidates who are weighing competing offers.

• Advise hiring teams on talent availability, compensation, and market conditions.

• Keep pipelines, scorecards, and role context accurate and up to date in Ashby.

• Share sourcing strategies and market insights with other recruiters on the team.

• 5+ years of technical recruiting experience, including senior and leadership-level hires.

• Proven track record hiring senior Software Engineers, ML Engineers, Researchers, or Data professionals.

• Solid understanding of modern engineering and ML teams, including infrastructure, model training, data systems, and production environments.

• Strong sourcing skills with experience engaging passive senior candidates.

• Proven ability to close candidates in competitive offer situations.

• Ability to earn the trust of senior technical leaders as a recruiting partner.

• Experience using Ashby and LinkedIn Recruiter.

• Excellent written and verbal English and Russian.

   

• Experience hiring for AI, ML, generative media, or high-growth startups.

• Existing network among engineers and researchers in Kazakhstan, the CIS, or Europe.

• Experience using AI sourcing and automation tools.

• Experience hiring for security or other niche technical profiles.
