Senior Supply Chain Planner
pSemi Corporation is a Murata company driving semiconductor integration. pSemi builds on Peregrine Semiconductor’s 30-year legacy of technology advancements and strong IP portfolio but with a new mission—to enhance Murata’s world-class capabilities with high-performance semiconductors. With a strong foundation in RF integration, pSemi’s product portfolio now spans power management, connected sensors, optical transceivers, antenna tuning and RF frontends. These intelligent and efficient semiconductors enable advanced modules for smartphones, base stations, personal computers, electric vehicles, data centers, IoT devices and healthcare. From headquarters in San Diego and offices around the world, pSemi’s team explores new ways to make electronics for the connected world smaller, thinner, faster and better.
Job Summary
The Senior Supply Chain Planner independently leads end-to-end supply planning for assigned semiconductor product lines, from wafer start through outsourced assembly and test to customer shipment. The role balances customer demand, material availability, capacity, cycle time, yield, inventory, and supplier constraints; leads resolution of complex supply issues; and provides recommendations that support customer commitments and business objectives.
Roles & Responsibilities
This position has responsibility for:
-
Own the executable supply plan for assigned product lines across wafer fabrication, assembly, test, and finished-goods stages. Independently balance customer priorities, capacity, material constraints, cycle times, yields, and inventory targets to optimize on-time delivery and overall supply performance.
-
Develop and evaluate supply, capacity, and allocation scenarios for demand changes, supplier disruptions, yield excursions, product transitions, and other constraints. Assess customer-service, revenue, inventory, cost, and operational implications and recommend a course of action to business leadership.
-
Lead resolution of complex supply and delivery issues spanning Operations, Sourcing, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Sales, and external manufacturing partners. Perform root-cause and business-impact analysis, develop recovery plans, and align stakeholders on corrective actions and revised commitments.
-
Represent Supply Planning in new-product introduction and high-volume manufacturing readiness reviews. Assess material, supplier, capacity, lead-time, yield, and inventory risks; recommend mitigation plans; and confirm supply readiness before key launch and ramp milestones.
-
Serve as the supply-planning subject-matter expert for assigned product lines. Validate capacity, lead-time, yield, and inventory assumptions; identify gaps or distortions; and influence Global Planning and cross-functional partners to improve plan quality and execution.
-
Govern planning parameters, master data, Bills of Material, Bills of Operations, supply orders, and related ERP transactions for assigned products. Analyze exceptions, determine corrective actions, and drive resolution of systemic data or transaction issues that could disrupt supply.
-
Manage purchase-order and assembly work-order requirements, supplier commitments, and commercial exceptions based on the approved supply plan, partnering with Sourcing and Finance to protect production continuity, customer commitments, and financial accuracy.
-
Lead recurring supply reviews and monitor planning performance measures, including on-time delivery, schedule adherence, cycle time, inventory exposure, forecast consumption, and supplier commitment performance. Communicate risks and decisions and initiate corrective action when results deviate from plan.
-
Lead cross-functional improvements to planning processes, parameters, analytics, and decision-support tools that increase plan accuracy, reduce manual intervention, improve service and inventory performance, and strengthen planning discipline. Provide technical guidance and coaching to less-experienced planners.
-
Serve as the primary on-site Supply Planning representative at the assigned OSAT partner, facilitating rapid resolution of production, material, capacity, and delivery issues and ensuring alignment between supplier execution and the approved supply plan.
Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)
-
Typically seven or more years of progressively responsible experience in supply planning, production planning, materials planning, or semiconductor manufacturing operations; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
-
Demonstrated expertise in production, material, inventory, capacity, and demand-supply planning, with the ability to apply planning principles in a complex, multi-stage manufacturing environment.
-
Demonstrated ability to develop and manage multi-level material and production plans across wafer fabrication, assembly, test, and finished-goods stages to achieve customer and inventory objectives.
-
Advanced analytical capability using ERP, business-intelligence, and spreadsheet tools to model supply scenarios, evaluate trade-offs, and communicate recommendations.
-
Demonstrated ability to independently resolve complex and ambiguous supply issues, identify systemic causes, and make sound recommendations with limited day-to-day direction.
-
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex supply issues clearly, influence cross-functional and supplier decisions without direct authority, and align stakeholders on priorities, trade-offs, and recovery actions.
-
Ability to identify and resolve complex purchase-order, receipt, and invoice exceptions in partnership with Sourcing, Finance, and suppliers.
-
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a consistent record of accurate analysis, disciplined execution, and effective prioritization across competing business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
-
APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.
-
Experience with advanced planning and ERP systems; Oracle ASCP experience strongly preferred.
-
In-depth knowledge of semiconductor planning process flows, cycle times, yields, outsourced assembly and test operations, and associated supply risks.
-
Experience leading cross-functional planning improvements, scenario analysis, or recovery efforts in a complex global manufacturing environment.
Education Requirements
-
Bachelor’s in industrial engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations, or equivalent education and work experience.
