Senior Product Owner - SACM (Hybrid set up)
About the Role
Within Swiss Re's IT Resilience organisation, we are looking for an experienced Senior Product Owner to drive the evolution and delivery of our Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) products. Our SACM ecosystem provides trusted information about Swiss Re's technology landscape, supporting IT resilience, operational decision-making, risk management and regulatory compliance. Built around ServiceNow CMDB, custom backend services, APIs and automated data integrations, it manages complex IT assets, their attributes, relationships and dependencies. You will translate strategic priorities into product roadmaps, own delivery and operational service outcomes, and work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver meaningful business value. We are looking for someone who combines strong product ownership, technical understanding and stakeholder leadership, confidently navigating organisational requirements and technical complexity while helping modernise SACM capabilities through automation and AI.
Key Responsibilities
-
Drive Product Strategy, Planning & Agile Delivery: Evolve the SACM product roadmap in alignment with strategic direction and enterprise priorities. Own quarterly planning, backlog prioritisation and Agile delivery, ensuring clear requirements, acceptance criteria and measurable outcomes while balancing business value, risk, technical debt and operational needs.
-
Understand and Shape Technical Solutions: Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the SACM technical ecosystem, including custom backend services, database structures, CI data models, attributes, relationships, APIs and integrations. Contribute to solution design, assess technical implications and constructively challenge engineering proposals to ensure scalable, maintainable solutions.
-
Advance Configuration Management & Data Governance: Drive improvements to CI modelling, onboarding, lifecycle management, dependency mapping and CMDB coverage, strengthening data quality, completeness, ownership and governance in alignment with enterprise standards.
-
Lead Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships across business and technology functions, eliciting, analysing and challenging requirements. Manage demand and expectations, translate business needs into coherent end-to-end solutions and communicate product priorities, progress and risks.
-
Champion Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to simplify, automate and modernise SACM capabilities, including AI-enabled solutions and intelligent automation. Incorporate high-value initiatives into the roadmap while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, security and responsible AI principles.
-
Ensure Operational Excellence, Performance & Compliance: Take accountability for product service outcomes, reliability, risk remediation and technical debt management. Define and monitor product KPIs and measures of success, using performance insights to drive improvements while supporting audit, security and regulatory requirements.
Nobody is expected to meet 100% of the requirements. If you meet many of the criteria and are curious about the world of IT Resilience, we would be happy to hear from you and explore what you could bring to the team.
