Senior Product Manager - Neurology
As Senior Product Manager for Neurology, you will own the vision, strategy, and execution across RapidAI's comprehensive neurology and brain disease portfolio. While stroke remains our flagship foundation, this role spearheads the strategic expansion of our platform across the full neuro care continuum—including traumatic brain injury (TBI/trauma, e.g., the Cambridge portfolio), neurodegenerative disorders, brain tumors (neuro-oncology), and cutting-edge third-party integrations for lesion detection.
You will define what clinical AI solutions we build and why, author the rigorous requirements engineering builds from, and guide clinical AI modules from ideation through regulatory clearance and hospital deployment. You will be the clinical and product authority at the intersection of AI imaging algorithms, clinical workflows, and partner integrations, ensuring our software delivers actionable, life-saving triage and diagnostic intelligence directly into clinicians' hands.
Our product team works AI-first. We prototype before we specify and leverage AI tools across discovery, requirement engineering, and workflow validation. When building gets faster, the hardest part of product management is ruthlessly deciding what is worth building and validating its clinical impact. We are looking for a product leader who thrives in this environment and recognizes that in medical device software, moving fast never lowers the bar for clinical efficacy and patient safety.
How you help us grow!
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
· Expand the Neurology Vision & Roadmap: Drive the comprehensive product strategy for AI-enabled brain disease management. Lead the expansion beyond acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke into traumatic brain injury (TBI/trauma), brain tumors, neurodegenerative conditions (e.g., Alzheimer's, dementia), and multi-modality lesion detection. Conduct market and product fit analysis and competitive analysis as well as building the overall business case to drive portfolio growth and prioritization.
· Lead 3rd-Party Algorithm & Lesion Detection Integrations: Define integration architectures and product standards to seamlessly ingest, validate, and display third-party AI models for brain lesion identification, quantitative volumetrics, and specialized neuro-pathologies within the unified Rapid Enterprise Platform.
· Prototype Before You Specify: Rapidly build and evaluate working prototypes using modern AI design and coding tools. Put clinical concepts in front of neurologists, neuroradiologists, and trauma teams within days to bring tangible clinical evidence to engineering commitment decisions.
· Write Rigorous, Build-Ready Specifications: Author detailed epics, user stories, quantitative acceptance criteria, error states, and risk controls. As medical device software (SaMD), your requirements serve as design inputs that must be unambiguous, traceable, and verifiable for regulatory and engineering execution.
· Know the Clinical Workflow First-Hand: Immerse yourself regularly in the daily workflows of neuro-interventionalists, vascular neurologists, trauma surgeons, emergency physicians, and neuro-radiologists. Translate complex clinical pain points into crisp, high-impact problem statements.
· Drive Regulated Medical Software Delivery (SaMD): Collaborate closely with Clinical Affairs, Regulatory, and Quality teams within our design-control process (FDA 510(k), ISO 13485, IEC 62304, ISO 14971, IEC 62366). Champion risk management, clinical validation (V&V), and clinical evaluation reports without sacrificing velocity in early discovery.
· Champion AI Efficacy & Safety: Define clear model evaluation benchmarks ('evals'), target sensitivity/specificity profiles, and error mitigation strategies. Ensure clinicians receive transparent, high-confidence insights while designing safe, resilient UX patterns for potential false positives/negatives.
· Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner seamlessly with Design, AI Science, Engineering, Medical Affairs, and Commercial Product Marketing to bring neurology products from concept to global clinical adoption.
What you bring!
Required Qualifications:
· Product Management Experience: 7+ years of software product management experience, with a proven track record of shipping clinical, digital health, or SaaS products relied upon by professionals in demanding workflows.
· Education: Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Neuroscience, Life Sciences, or related technical/health field (or equivalent professional experience).
· Neurology & Brain Imaging Acumen: Demonstrated experience or deep domain fluency in neurovascular or neurological diseases (stroke, traumatic brain injury, tumors, or neurodegeneration) and familiarity with neuroimaging modalities (CT, CTA, CTP, MRI).
· AI Built into Daily Work: Demonstrated practice of incorporating AI tools into everyday workflows—for requirement drafting, research synthesis, prototyping, and rapid analysis—with a sharp eye for quality and verification.
· Rigorous Requirement Writing: Proven ability to author precise, testable user stories and engineering specifications that account for complex clinical edge cases, error states, and data schemas.
· Partner & Integration Fluency: Experience scoping, evaluating, and launching partner integrations, 3rd-party algorithms, or platform APIs with clean interoperability standards.
· Clear, Persuasive Communication: Exceptional ability to articulate complex technical and clinical decisions clearly in writing and speaking to clinicians, data scientists, engineers, and executive leaders.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Regulated Medical Device Experience: Direct experience shipping Software as a Medical Device (SaMD), FDA 510(k) or De Novo submissions, CE-MDR, and working within ISO 13485, IEC 62304, ISO 14971, and IEC 62366 design control standards.
· Advanced Clinical AI / ML Experience: Hands-on experience shipping computer vision / deep learning models for lesion segmentation, volumetric assessment, or computer-aided detection (CADe/CADt/CADx).
· Clinical Background: Prior clinical training, clinical research experience, or clinical trial background in neurology, neuroradiology, neurosurgery, or emergency medicine.
· Healthcare Interoperability: Working knowledge of clinical systems and standards including DICOM, PACS/RIS, HL7, FHIR, and HIPAA compliance.
· Academic/Research Partnerships: Experience collaborating with premier academic medical centers or global research consortia (e.g., Cambridge, European/US neuro research groups).
- Location: United States – Remote (with periodic clinical site visits and team offsites)
- Work Authorization: Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the United States without restriction. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
