Job Summary

Seeking an experienced NoSQL Database Engineer with expertise in Cassandra DSE and Couchbase to design, administer, optimize, and support highly available, scalable database platforms in enterprise environments. The role includes database engineering, performance tuning, capacity planning, migrations, disaster recovery, and L2/L3 production support.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and support Cassandra DSE and Couchbase database environments. Design and manage distributed, multi-datacenter database architectures and replication strategies. Perform database installations, upgrades, migrations, patching, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities. Develop and optimize NoSQL data models, schemas, and cluster configurations for performance and scalability. Monitor database health, troubleshoot incidents, and resolve performance, availability, and reliability issues. Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning, and infrastructure optimization. Manage DSE OpsCenter, Couchbase XDCR, and related monitoring tools. Ensure database security, high availability, compliance, and adherence to enterprise standards. Provide L2/L3 support, participate in on-call rotations, and meet SLA commitments. Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and architecture teams on database solutions and improvements.

Skill Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with Cassandra DSE, DSE OpsCenter, and Couchbase administration. Expertise in distributed database architectures, NoSQL data modeling, and replication technologies. Experience with multi-DC deployments, cluster management, performance tuning, and capacity planning. Strong knowledge of backup/recovery, HA, failover, and disaster recovery solutions. Linux/Unix administration and OS-level performance tuning skills. Experience with monitoring tools, automation frameworks, and scripting (Shell/Python). Exposure to cloud and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
