Senior Manager, Integrated Insights & Strategy, Pipeline Strategy (Secondment 12-18 Months)
WHY PATIENTS NEED YOU
Specialty Care is entering a pivotal period. As today’s in-line brands mature and a wave of pipeline assets advances toward launch, the organization must now prepare for the future of the business in 2027–2029 and beyond. Specialty Care Integrated Insights and Strategy (IIS) plays a central role in that preparation: sizing emerging opportunities, pressure-testing assumptions, and supporting commercial teams for launch readiness. IIS is seeking a Senior Manager, Pipeline Strategy, on a 12- 18 Months secondment to own the primary market research, forecasting, and market landscape assessment that underpin Specialty Care’s pipeline strategy. IIS is a brand-aligned team of internal consultants and brand strategists that partners with senior commercial leaders to frame business problems and unlock brand value. Working with the Director, this role helps equip the Specialty Care Portfolio Strategy Lead with the evidence base for priority Specialty Care pipeline indications, with a near-term focus on the analytics underpinning a comprehensive US Respiratory strategy ahead of upcoming trispecific launches.
WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE
The ideal candidate is an intellectually curious, analytically rigorous strategist who is energized by the challenge of preparing the business for pre-launch and pipeline assets. They are comfortable framing open-ended questions, building the analyses to answer them, and translating findings into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leaders. They will partner across SC IIS and with cross-functional groups including US Commercial, Global Commercial Strategy, Business Assessment, and the relevant GCA Centers of Excellence, and bring the collaborative orientation, strong communication, and follow-through that let a fast-moving function rely on them. The secondment offers direct exposure to portfolio and pipeline strategy at a defining moment for Specialty Care, visibility with senior commercial leadership, and the opportunity to help shape the strategy for one of the organization’s critical future growth areas.
HOW YOU WILL ACHIEVE IT
Primary Market Research & Insight Generation
- Own primary market research and insight generation for the pipeline, identifying information needs and leading the research and data-analysis plans that de-risk pipeline decisions. Integrate primary and secondary sources to build a full picture of the market, customer behavior, and unmet need, and translate insights into strategic direction.
Forecasting & Opportunity Sizing
- Own opportunity sizing and forecasting for priority pipeline indications, partnering with the Forecasting CoE and US/Global colleagues to build robust epi- and trend-based models. Quantify and qualify the size of the opportunity and communicate results and their implications clearly to senior leadership.
Competitive & Market Landscape Assessment
- Own market landscape assessment for the pipeline, serving as a subject-matter expert on current market dynamics in therapeutic areas of interest and monitoring the forward-looking competitive and scientific landscape across priority pipeline areas. Track competitor pipelines, anticipated entrants, market events, and evolving standards of care, and surface the implications for Pfizer’s strategy.
Pipeline & Portfolio Strategy Support
- Support the Director in shaping pipeline and portfolio strategy, supplying the research, forecasts, and market insight that inform investment, positioning, and launch-readiness decisions. Help translate research and analytics into a clear, persuasive story and contribute to recommendations for senior leadership.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
- Partner across GCA teams, including Business Assessment, Performance Analytics & Insights, Data Science, Forecasting and Market Research Excellence CoEs, and with cross-functional stakeholders in Marketing, Medical, R&D, and Global Commercial Strategy to ensure cohesive, well-aligned strategy work.
