About the Job You’re Considering
AI is changing how organizations understand, engage, and create value for customers. Within frog, Applied AI for Customer Data connects customer strategy and human-centered design with the data, analytics, AI, and technology capabilities needed to activate customer intelligence at scale.
This role will help clients modernize marketing and customer engagement across commerce, sales, service, loyalty, and experience. The focus is moving clients from fragmented data and isolated AI pilots toward connected, responsible, and measurable customer transformation.
Your Role
As Senior Director, Applied AI for Customer Data, you will lead the growth of frog’s customer data and applied AI capability in North America. You will advise C-suite leaders, shape and sell consulting engagements, oversee delivery, develop market offerings, and build multidisciplinary teams.
This is a senior consulting leadership role, not a hands-on data-engineering or data-science position. You will need enough technical and analytical depth to challenge assumptions, guide specialists, assess feasibility, and connect data and AI investments to customer and commercial outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Define the North American growth strategy and market proposition for Applied AI for Customer Data within frog.
- Advise C-suite leaders on customer-data, analytics, AI, and agentic AI transformation across marketing and the broader customer lifecycle.
- Shape strategies connecting customer data, marketing operations, content, media, commerce, CRM, loyalty, experience design, and intelligent activation.
- Translate business priorities into customer-data strategies, prioritized AI use cases, roadmaps, operating models, investment cases, and value-realization plans.
- Guide solutions across segmentation, personalization, recommendations, next-best-action, journey optimization, customer lifetime value, loyalty, retention, content intelligence, and marketing performance.
- Ensure solutions address privacy, consent, security, responsible AI, explainability, governance, and appropriate human oversight.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams across strategy, marketing, design, data science, analytics, architecture, engineering, product, and organizational change.
- Shape, sell, and oversee complex engagements, including discovery, solution design, proposals, executive presentations, commercials, delivery quality, and economics.
- Build executive relationships, originate opportunities, expand strategic accounts, and contribute to sales and managed-revenue objectives.
- Collaborate across frog and Capgemini to connect customer transformation with data platforms, AI engineering, cloud, CRM, commerce, and industry expertise.
- Develop offerings, accelerators, partnerships, case studies, and thought leadership while recruiting and developing high-performing teams.
Your Skills + Experience
You are a senior customer-data and AI transformation leader who can connect executive priorities to the strategy, data, technology, operating model, and organizational capabilities required to deliver measurable results.
Required Experience
- 15+ years of relevant experience across management consulting, customer strategy, customer analytics, marketing transformation, data and AI, or digital transformation.
- Senior leadership experience in consulting, advisory, digital agency, analytics, or technology services.
- Deep expertise in customer data and analytics, including segmentation, personalization, recommendations, loyalty, retention, customer lifetime value, journey analytics, and customer intelligence.
- Strong understanding of machine learning, generative AI, and agentic AI, including use-case selection, feasibility, specialist-team leadership, and responsible scaling.
- Experience shaping customer-data strategies across acquisition, quality, identity resolution, consent, governance, integration, analytics, decisioning, and activation.
- Experience leading marketing and customer transformation across areas such as marketing operations, audience strategy, media, content, CRM, loyalty, commerce, sales, service, and omnichannel engagement.
- Working knowledge of relevant ecosystems such as Adobe Experience Cloud, Salesforce Data Cloud, Google Cloud, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, Treasure Data, Tealium, Twilio Segment, or Braze.
- Demonstrated success advising C-suite stakeholders, originating opportunities, leading proposals, and converting client needs into significant transformation engagements.
- Experience leading complex multidisciplinary programs, scaling teams or offerings, and managing engagement economics, delivery risk, and account growth.
- Strong executive communication, facilitation, storytelling, negotiation, and thought-leadership capabilities.
Preferred Experience
- Enterprise-scale marketing modernization, customer intelligence, personalization, customer-data platform, MarTech, CRM, loyalty, or omnichannel transformation experience.
- Experience aligning CMO and Data or AI leadership around a shared customer-data and AI agenda and taking AI capabilities from pilot to scaled adoption.
- Familiarity with modern customer-data architecture, including CDPs, identity resolution, data clean rooms, real-time decisioning, MLOps, APIs, and cloud data platforms.
- Existing executive relationships, external market presence, or thought leadership in customer data, marketing transformation, customer analytics, or applied AI.
- Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA, master’s degree, or relevant advanced degree is preferred. Willingness to travel based on client needs.
