Senior Design Lead Mech Design, CAD, Unigraphics

On-site United States

Job Summary

Mechanical CAD Engineer

Role. Produce detailed CAD and release-quality drawings for the module.

Key Responsibilities

Detailed Creo modeling of the module assembly and piece parts

● Release-quality drawings with full GD&T, and tolerance stack-ups

● Prepare drawing-release packages and ECO / change-control records; maintain master CAD and BOM in Meta’s PLM

● Run the ECAD/MCAD IDF/IDX exchange — issue IDF to ECAD with PKO plus heatsink/stiffener parameters; maintain the mechanical keep-out / keep-in zones (KOZ/KIZ) that bound component layout

● Cold-plate and hose routing detail; mounting and torque callouts

● Socket and silicon validation board (EVB) detail support

● Support DFM / DFA reviews with assembly-sequence, serviceability and service-tooling detail (e.g. module service handle)

● Incorporate redlines from Meta design reviews back into CAD; keep revisions clean and traceable

Skill Requirements

Must-have

● 5+ years mechanical detailed design and drafting on electronics or server / datacenter hardware

● Proficient in Creo (Pro/E) — part and assembly modeling, detailed drawings

● Production PLM experience — drawing release workflow, ECO / change control, revision control (any mainstream PLM)

● Strong GD&T to ASME Y14.5 and hands-on tolerance stack-up analysis

● Hands-on ECAD↔MCAD IDF/IDX exchange with EE / layout teams

● Works cleanly to someone else’s design intent; disciplined documentation habits

Nice-to-have

● Liquid cooling: cold plates, hoses, QDs, manifolds

● PCBA-level mechanical packaging; connector mechanical

● Hands-on DFM / manufacturability feedback loops with suppliers

● Sheet metal and machined-part detailing

● Windchill specifically — Meta’s module CAD and drawings are mastered there, so prior Windchill use shortens ramp-up

Other Requirements
