We're looking for a Senior Business Manager - IBM to take ownership of our IBM portfolio, leading business growth through strategic planning, commercial excellence and strong collaboration with both IBM and internal stakeholders. Working across sales, operations and vendor teams, you'll play a key role in driving market share, optimising profitability and identifying new opportunities that strengthen our IBM business.

What You'll Be Doing


 

  • Execute the business unit strategy to drive profitable market share growth.
  • Lead vendor pricing and profit strategies, working closely with internal optimisation teams to maximise performance.
  • Identify and onboard new vendors while driving business development initiatives across the portfolio.
  • Build and maintain strong commercial relationships with vendors, customers and key stakeholders.
  • Own the full product and vendor lifecycle, including contract management, product adoption and system accuracy.
  • Lead quarterly vendor business planning and ensure successful execution of agreed objectives.
  • Partner with sales teams to drive revenue growth across the assigned portfolio.
  • Support, coach and develop direct reports.
  • Identify and implement commercial and operational process improvements.
  • Ensure effective use of CRM tools to maintain visibility and business continuity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class processes and customer experiences.
  • Analyse business performance and use insights to influence future strategy.

What You'll Bring


 

  • Strong commercial acumen and an analytical mindset.
  • Excellent numerical and business planning skills.
  • Proven ability to build and influence relationships at multiple levels.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional organisational, prioritisation and time management skills.
  • A strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Experience working with vendors, channel partners or technology portfolios.
  • Experience of strategic planning and developing business cases.
  • A customer-focused approach with experience in services and solution selling.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience using SAP R3 and Business Warehouse would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work effectively within a matrix organisation.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High levels of energy, motivation and resilience.
