Equinix Internet Access gives customers fast, reliable connectivity to the internet from our global footprint of data centers. We are building it to be the most innovative and high-performing solution of its kind. As a backend engineer on the product team, you will help deliver features from discovery through production operations, working alongside the product manager, frontend engineers and SRE.


What you'll do

  • Build and maintain backend microservices and integrations in Java/Kotlin, delivering well-scoped features and components with limited supervision.
  • Work with the product manager to turn customer needs into user stories and technical tasks.
  • Contribute to solution design and technical discussions and document design decisions for review by senior engineers.
  • Integrate with internal and external systems using REST APIs and workflow orchestration (Temporal).
  • Write unit and integration tests and take responsibility for the quality of the components you deliver.
  • Take part in peer code reviews and follow team coding and engineering standards.
  • Contribute to CI/CD and DevSecOps improvements, such as pipeline enhancements, static analysis and dependency scanning.
  • Help monitor, troubleshoot, and join incident response.
  • Use company-approved AI-assisted development tools in your daily work and validate and take ownership of the output.
  • Bring ideas for new tools and technologies and share short evaluations or prototypes with the team.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and an internship, or 2+ years of professional backend software development experience.
  • Solid skills in Java or Kotlin and experience with Spring Boot.
  • Experience designing and consuming REST APIs, integrating through messaging systems (e.g. Kafka), and working with relational databases and ORMs (e.g., Hibernate).
  • Familiarity with automated testing, Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Clear written and verbal communication in English, and a willingness to learn from feedback.

  • Experience in a product-oriented team
  • Temporal or another workflow orchestration engine
  • Observability tooling (metrics, logging, tracing)
  • Networking fundamentals (IP, routing, BGP) relevant to Internet Access

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

Poland - Warsaw Office WAO : 139,000 - 223,000 PLN / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
