Senior Analyst HRIS (Workday Benefits)
The HRIS Analyst configures, maintains, tests, and supports Workday Benefits and related HCM functionality. This role partners with HR Operations, Benefits, Payroll, IT, and other stakeholders to analyze business requirements and deliver effective Workday solutions. The analyst is responsible for maintaining configuration quality, benefits data integrity, effective-dated accuracy, and audit-ready documentation. Key responsibilities include benefits configuration, testing, reporting, process monitoring, issue resolution, and Workday release support. The role may also provide cross-functional Workday HCM support as business needs require.
Responsibilities
- Workday Benefits Configuration. Configure and maintain benefits plans, business processes, eligibility rules, rates, dependent eligibility, benefit events, and related configuration.
- Workday HCM Support. Provide cross-functional Workday HCM configuration, testing, and support as business needs require. Analyze business requirements and implement approved configuration changes while assessing impacts to payroll, integrations, security, reporting, and downstream processes.
- Develop and execute testing for releases, enhancements, and configuration changes; support issue resolution and continuous process improvement.
- Maintain configuration documentation, test evidence, and audit-ready records while adhering to HRIS governance, security, privacy, and internal control requirements.
- Partner with Benefits, Payroll, HR Operations, IT, and other stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, communicate impacts, support solution delivery, and contribute to ongoing product enhancements.
- Analyze data, identify discrepancies, and coordinate resolution of system, process, and data issues.
- Support Workday releases, regulatory updates, system enhancements, and cross-functional HRIS initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned consistent with the responsibilities and level of the role.
Education & Experience
- 3-5+ years of HRIS experience, including hands-on Workday Benefits configuration and support.
- Experience analyzing data, troubleshooting system or process issues, performing testing, and documenting results.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining data integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- College or university degree typically required
