We are looking for a Senior AI-Driven 4G PHY Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the architecture, development, and real-time optimization of the LTE Layer 1 (PHY) software stack.

In this role, you will work on complex, high-performance embedded software, developing and optimizing PHY features for carrier-grade Open RAN solutions. You will collaborate closely with MAC, System Engineering, Integration, QA, and Product Management teams.

A key part of the role is leveraging AI-powered tools and agentic software development workflows to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, and delivery

What you will do:

• Design, develop, and optimize LTE Layer 1 (PHY) software components.

• Take ownership of PHY features throughout the development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, integration, and production support.

• Investigate complex software issues, perform root cause analysis, and optimize real-time performance.

• Contribute to software architecture and technical design decisions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including MAC, System Engineering, Integration, and QA.

• Improve software performance, reliability, and maintainability in complex embedded environments.

• Apply AI-assisted and agentic development tools to improve coding efficiency, debugging, testing, and development workflows.

• Share technical knowledge and contribute to engineering best practices.

What you should have:

• 4+ years of hands-on software development experience in complex embedded or real-time systems.

• Strong programming skills in C/C++.

• Experience with multithreaded development on Linux-based embedded systems.

• Solid understanding of DSP fundamentals and software performance optimization.

• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.

• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools or LLM-based workflows, with a basic understanding of AI concepts and RAG.

• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development practices.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of wireless physical layer (PHY), preferably LTE/4G, 5G, or other OFDM-based technologies.

• Experience with Open RAN (O-RAN), eNodeB/gNodeB, or baseband software development.

• Experience with SIMD optimization (AVX, SSE, NEON) on ARM or x86 platforms.

• Experience with MATLAB or Python for algorithm development, simulation, or validation.

• Experience with cloud-native telecom platforms, containerized environments, or large-scale wireless systems.

• Experience mentoring junior engineers or contributing to software architecture decisions.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
