As a Senior Agentic Platform Engineer, you will design and build scalable cloud-native solutions that solve complex engineering challenges at enterprise scale. Depending on your experience and interests, you may work on cloud services, AI-enabled applications, platform engineering, or European open-source initiatives such as ApeiroRA and NeoNephos. 

What You’ll Do 

• Design, develop, and operate scalable cloud-native applications, services, APIs, and distributed systems using Go, Python, Kubernetes, and modern cloud-native technologies. 

• Drive technical designs and contribute to architecture decisions for strategic cloud initiatives, including AI and Generative AI use cases. 

• Develop innovative solutions and proofs of concept, including support for building an agentic harness and sandboxing environment. 

• Improve software quality through automation, CI/CD, observability, and engineering best practices. 

• Collaborate across teams to transform business requirements into reliable and secure solutions, mentoring engineers through technical leadership, code reviews, and knowledge sharing. 

• Contribute to open-source projects (e.g. ApeiroRA, NeoNephos) and the evolution of SAP's cloud platform capabilities. 
   

What You Bring 

• Several years of experience building and operating production-grade cloud-native software using Go (preferred) and/or Python, with hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems. 

• Solid understanding of software architecture, scalability, reliability, security, and performance, with the ability to drive solutions from concept to production. 

• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, DevSecOps, and engineering best practices for building scalable and secure solutions. 

• Experience using AI tools for engineering tasks (coding, troubleshooting, automation) with the ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs; practical interest in LLM optimization and building MCP servers. 

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working across teams, cultures, and locations; able to explain technical topics clearly in fluent English. 

• Curious and pragmatic problem solver who takes ownership, mentors peers through code reviews and knowledge sharing, and contributes to open-source communities. 

We don’t expect you to have experience with every technology listed. If you have a strong foundation in several of these areas and are interested in learning the others, we’d be happy to hear from you.
