Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Lead / Project Manager to lead SAP technical landscape initiatives, including implementation, migration, upgrades, cloud transformation, and managed services engagements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing SAP Basis operations, managing technical workstreams, coordinating global teams, and ensuring stable, secure, and scalable SAP environments. This role requires both strong SAP Basis expertise and project leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Basis Leadership

• Lead SAP Basis activities across implementation, upgrade, migration, and AMS projects.
• Manage SAP system installations, upgrades, patches, and technical lifecycle activities.
• Oversee SAP landscape administration, transport management, client/system copies, and performance optimization.
• Ensure SAP system availability, reliability, and security.

Project Management

• Lead SAP technical workstreams for S/4HANA transformation programs.
• Develop project plans, schedules, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Manage project scope, timeline, budget, and deliverables.
• Coordinate activities across Basis, infrastructure, application, security, and business teams.
• Facilitate communication with stakeholders, vendors, and client leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 8+ years of SAP Basis experience.

• 3+ years of team leadership or project management experience.

• Strong experience with:

  • SAP ECC
  • SAP S/4HANA
  • SAP HANA Database
  • SAP NetWeaver

• Experience in at least one of the following:

  • SAP S/4HANA Conversion
  • Greenfield Implementation
  • Brownfield Migration
  • SAP Landscape Transformation

• Knowledge of:

  • High Availability (HA)
  • Disaster Recovery (DR)
  • System Refresh
  • Performance Tuning
  • Transport Management

• Business-level Japanese communication skills.

• Business-level English communication skills.
