Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Roving Facilities Manager to support the delivery of exceptional facilities management services across a diverse commercial property portfolio. This role is ideal for a facilities professional who enjoys working across multiple sites, building strong client relationships, and ensuring properties operate safely, efficiently, and in line with statutory requirements.


As a portfolio-based role, regular travel will be required, and the successful candidate must be comfortable managing a varied workload across different locations while maintaining consistently high standards of service delivery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive facilities management services across a multi-site property portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, occupiers, landlords, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Ensure all properties remain compliant with health and safety legislation and industry best practice.
  • Lead risk management activities, including the identification, assessment, and mitigation of operational risks.
  • Manage service charge budgets, monitor expenditure, and support annual budgeting and reconciliation processes.
  • Oversee contractor performance, ensuring service delivery meets agreed specifications and key performance indicators.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and compliance audits.
  • Coordinate planned preventative maintenance and reactive works.
  • Respond to occupier and client enquiries, resolving issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records through CAFM systems and prepare management reports as required.
  • Support portfolio initiatives, mobilisation projects, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure the highest levels of customer service.

  • Experience managing landlord and tenant relationships.
  • Proven health and safety and risk management experience.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budget management and cost control.
  • Experience managing service charge budgets.
  • Knowledge of contractor and supply chain management.
  • Experience using CAFM systems and property management technology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organisational, numeracy and time management skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities across multiple sites.
  • Excellent teamworking and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Experience within a managing agent environment is desirable.

Education & Qualifications

Essential:

  • NEBOSH qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years' facilities management experience.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel regularly as required across the property portfolio.

Desirable:

  • Membership of a relevant professional body such as IWFM, IOSH, or equivalent.
  • Experience managing commercial real estate portfolios.
