Robotics Integration Engineer (x|f|m)

On-site Goettingen, Germany full time
Join our Smart Robotics & Physical AI team as a Robotics Integration Engineer (x|f|m) and help drive the adoption of Intelligent Robotics and Physical AI across our global manufacturing sites. In this role, you will contribute to the integration of intelligent, adaptive and scalable robotics solutions into existing production environments and support the evolution of seamless collaboration between humans and machines.
Working closely with business functions, engineering teams and external partners, you will develop, implement and optimize innovative automation and robotics solutions that improve quality, ergonomics and operational efficiency while contributing to better health for more people.
Based in Goettingen with the possibility to work some days in a week remotely.

Grow With Us – Your Responsibilities

  • Develop, test and implement robotics and automation solutions that support intelligent manufacturing processes
  • Design, integrate and validate end effectors, sensors, vision systems and other robotics components for industrial applications
  • Develop and optimize robotic work cells, fixtures and automation solutions with a focus on performance, safety and scalability
  • Create and adapt technical designs and engineering data and support prototyping, testing and commissioning activities
  • Implement and integrate interfaces between robots, PLC systems and existing production equipment and support connectivity across industrial control environments
  • Analyze technical data and system performance, identify optimization opportunities and implement engineering improvements to enhance process and equipment performance
  • Support the integration of robotics and production systems using industrial communication protocols such as OPC UA, MQTT, PROFINET and EtherCAT
  • Contribute to the integration of production and robotics data into enterprise IT systems, data platforms and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
  • Support the implementation of Industrial IoT and edge computing architectures to improve connectivity, transparency and data utilization
  • Develop and implement safety concepts for human-robot collaboration and support validation and CE conformity activities
  • Investigate technical issues, identify root causes and implement sustainable corrective actions to ensure reliable and efficient production operations
  • Document technical findings, engineering results and project progress and communicate recommendations to relevant stakeholders



What Will Convince Us

  • Degree in Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a comparable discipline
  • Several years of experience in the integration, commissioning and optimization of industrial automation or robotics solutions
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming according to IEC 61131-3 and experience with industrial fieldbus technologies such as PROFINET and EtherCAT
  • Experience working with industrial robots and cobots, such as ABB, Universal Robots, FANUC, KUKA or comparable systems
  • Experience integrating and programming robotics solutions within existing manufacturing environments
  • Experience with industrial sensors, machine vision systems and 2D/3D camera technologies is an advantage
  • Basic knowledge of 3D CAD systems such as SolidWorks, Inventor or comparable solutions
  • Practical experience with OPC UA, MQTT and the integration of IT and OT environments
  • Basic knowledge of Python, C# or comparable programming languages is an advantage
  • Knowledge of machine safety, functional safety and CE conformity requirements
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing environments, such as GMP, pharmaceutical or medical technology industries, is an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills and experience applying structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis methodologies
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to a variety of stakeholders
  • Fluent English
