Job Description

Lead the future of retail across Sodexo Australia.

As our Retail Innovation & Capex Manager, you will own the national retail innovation strategy and capital investment portfolio, driving transformation across staffed and unattended retail formats. You’ll identify growth opportunities, shape investment priorities, and lead the delivery of technology, automation, digital retail, vending and store development initiatives that improve customer experience and commercial performance. Role is open to both Perth and Melbourne based candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the national retail innovation and investment roadmap.
• Lead a portfolio of retail transformation and capital projects exceeding $12M.
• Drive innovation across digital retail, automation, POS systems, vending, smart equipment and emerging technologies.
• Build business cases, recommend investment priorities and monitor ROI.
• Lead cross-functional stakeholders across Operations, Finance, IT, Commercial, Supply Chain and HSE.
• Establish governance frameworks, standards and scalable operating models.
• Manage a team of project specialists and build innovation capability across the business.
• Deliver measurable outcomes including revenue growth, margin improvement and productivity gains.

What You'll Bring

• Significant experience in retail strategy, innovation, transformation or capital project management.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including business case development and investment analysis.
• Proven success delivering large-scale, multi-site projects and commercial outcomes.
• Experience influencing senior leaders and managing complex stakeholder groups.
• Strong leadership, change management and project governance capability.
• Knowledge of retail technology, customer experience, operations and portfolio management.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Retail, Technology, Project Management, or a related discipline are desirable.
• Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
