Internship - Hardware (HW)
The intern will work closely with experienced hardware engineers, supporting the development, validation, and maintenance of embedded hardware platforms used in communications products. The role includes assisting with design, testing, troubleshooting, laboratory activities, technical documentation and overall development infrastructure.
The intern will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Hardware, Firmware, Software and Quality Engineering, gaining hands-on experience throughout different phases of the product development lifecycle.
A strong interest in embedded systems, electronics, and new technologies is expected, along with a proactive attitude toward learning and problem-solving.
Responsibilities: (list 5-10 bullet points)
Support the development and validation of electronic prototypes (hardware and firmware)
Execute functional and electrical testing of electronic boards and modules
Assist in hardware and firmware troubleshooting activities (digital and analog systems)
Prepare and maintain technical documentation
Set up and maintain laboratory and test environments
Support qualification and validation of electronic components
Assist with schematic, BOM and design documentation reviews
Support laboratory activities, including soldering and hardware rework
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, firmware, software and quality
Requirements: (list 5-10 bullet points)
Graduating in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field (2+ years to graduate)
Basic knowledge of and interest in hardware development, including schematic design, PCB layout, electronic components
Experience with soldering, hardware debugging and electrical measurements
Basic programming knowledge
Basic understanding of processor architectures and assembly language (x86, ARM, and RISC-V)
Experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, or similar engineering tools
Advanced level of English proficiency
Additional Skills (Advantageous): Optional (list a few bullet points)
Basic knowledge of embedded Linux environments
Basic understanding of DSP architectures and assembly language
Basic understanding of FPGA architectures and development using Verilog and VHDL
