QA Engineer
Pod Network is building a Layer-1 for open markets and the trading platform that runs on it. Orders clear in frequent batch auctions, so the best price wins, not the fastest connection. Anyone can launch a market, and anyone, anywhere can trade on it 24/7.
As we ship new versions of Pod, we need someone to use the product the way traders do, find what breaks, and make sure every critical flow works before it reaches users.
About the Role
We're looking for a QA Engineer to own testing of the Pod trading experience across web and mobile.
This is a hands-on, product-focused QA role. You'll test new features and releases directly. You'll connect wallets, deposit and withdraw funds, place and cancel orders, and check fills and auction results. You'll also check that balances, positions, margin and PnL are correct, and you'll test market creation. You'll look for anything that's confusing, slow or wrong from a user's point of view.
You'll work closely with the engineering and product teams to understand what changed in each release, define test cases, and maintain the release checklist. Over time, you'll automate the checks that repeat before every release.
What You'll Do
Test new Pod features and releases before they ship. This is the core of the role.
Run exploratory testing on trading screens, order books, charts, account pages and onboarding flows.
Check that what users see matches what happened: order status, fills, balances, positions, fees and transaction history.
Test across browsers, devices and wallets, and on slow or unstable connections.
Build and own Pod's automated test suite, including end-to-end tests for key user flows in tools such as Playwright or Cypress, run before every release.
Write clear bug reports with steps to reproduce, expected and actual behavior, screenshots, screen recordings and console logs.
Work with the right engineer to get bugs fixed, verified and released.
Qualifications
Experience in QA or software testing for web or mobile products.
Strong manual and exploratory testing skills. You can write practical test cases, reproduce bugs and document issues clearly.
Able to write code in TypeScript, JavaScript or Python for test automation and scripting.
Close attention to detail, especially with numbers, balances and state changes.
Comfortable using browser dev tools to inspect network requests and console errors.
Experience with test automation, especially end-to-end or browser tests.
Strong ownership of release quality. You reproduce issues, find the cause, and retest fixes until the behavior is explained.
Nice to Have
Experience testing trading platforms, exchanges, brokerages or fintech apps.
Experience testing token bridging, deposits and withdrawals, or familiarity with how assets move on and off a chain.
Personal experience trading crypto, perpetual futures or other derivatives.
Familiarity with crypto wallets (MetaMask, WalletConnect, embedded wallets) and on-chain transactions.
Experience with tools like Postman, Dappwright and Anvil.
What Success Looks Like
Bugs are caught before they reach users.
New Pod releases ship with few or no unexpected issues.
The team has confidence that features and fixes were tested properly before release.
What We Offer
Competitive compensation plus meaningful token/equity upside.
Ownership of QA and release quality from day one.
A high-impact role on a small engineering team.
The chance to shape the quality of a new trading platform and market infrastructure.
Occasional travel for team offsites and crypto industry events.
