Job Summary:

As a Provisional Therapist, you’ll provide individual, family, and group therapeutic services while helping clients work toward meaningful treatment goals. You’ll develop and review treatment plans, complete assessments, provide crisis intervention and case management when needed, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate quality care. You’ll also maintain timely clinical documentation and support effective service delivery for individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use concerns.

- Key Responsibilities:
· Provide individual, family, and group therapy services to an assigned caseload, with a minimum of 26 billable service hours per week
· Develop individualized treatment plans and complete treatment plan reviews in a clinically appropriate and timely manner
· Build supportive therapeutic relationships while providing assessment, crisis intervention, case management, and other clinical services as needed
· Collaborate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate effective, client-centered care and service delivery
· Coordinate and facilitate group counseling and group education activities as assigned
· Complete clinical and program documentation in the electronic medical record within 48 hours of providing services
· Conduct initial assessments as assigned or when providing backup coverage
· Maintain ethical and professional standards related to treatment, documentation, quality improvement, utilization management, and client outcomes
· Follow agency procedures, including emergency and corporate compliance requirements, while supporting high-quality client care
· Perform other duties as assigned
- Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in Counseling or Social Work required for Outpatient services
· Master’s degree in Counseling or Social Work preferred for Addiction Recovery services; individuals who hold qualifying substance use certifications may qualify without a master’s degree
· Minimum of two years of experience for master’s-level candidates
· Minimum of three years of experience for candidates without a master’s degree who hold a qualifying substance use certification
· For Outpatient services, must hold an applicable current professional credential as required for the position
· For Addiction Recovery services, must be appropriately recognized, registered, certified, or licensed
- Additional Qualifications:
· Demonstrate strong interviewing, assessment, crisis intervention, and therapeutic intervention skills
· Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication and the ability to establish rapport within professional relationships
· Possess effective treatment planning, organization, time management, and case management skills
· Maintain knowledge of community resources that can support client needs
· Maintain continuing education and professional development requirements applicable to the role and professional credential
· Maintain required professional development related to cultural competence
· Maintain current CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) requirements
· Maintain a current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance
- Physical Requirements
· Perform primarily sedentary work, including sitting for most of the workday with occasional walking or standing
· Occasionally exert up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects
· Perform repetitive hand, finger, and arm movements for typing and writing throughout the work shift
