Proposal Specialist

As a Proposal Specialist, you will own the end-to-end proposal lifecycle, partnering closely with Sales and Technical Subject Matter Experts to create compelling, high-quality proposals that help us win meaningful work. This role will ideally be based out of Calgary, however we are open to candidates in Edmonton, Toronto or Vancouver.
Proposals may range from concise responses to complex submissions, and your ability to bring clarity, structure, and a strong narrative to each one will be key to your success. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys balancing creativity with precision.
This is a 12-month contract covering a maternity leave. There is a chance of extension or conversion to permanent closer to the end date.
A Day In The Life:

Own the proposal process from kickoff to submission, ensuring every opportunity is delivered with excellence

Create persuasive, client-focused proposals that tell a compelling story and highlight the value of Long View's solutions

Collaborate with Sales and technical teams to shape winning strategies and develop high-quality content

Coordinate multiple contributors, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail

Drive continuous improvement through proposal analysis, lessons learned, and win/loss tracking

Elevate proposal quality through expert editing, proofreading, formatting, and submission management

Deliver polished, professional proposal packages that leave a lasting impression on clients

Support broader business initiatives and contribute wherever your expertise can make an impact
What You Bring:
-
5+ years of proposal management experience

2+ years of business writing, proofreading, and editing experience

Strong verbal and written business communication skills

The ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing deadlines

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and solid working knowledge of other Microsoft Office tools

Strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail
- Experience with proposal management software

Willingness and flexibility to work overtime when required
What Makes You Extra Awesome:
- Previous experience working on government or federal proposals/bids

Previous experience using Qorus is considered an asset

APMP certification (CF APMP, CP APMP, or CPP APMP) or active pursuit of certification is preferred
