About Tekmetric
Tekmetric is the all-in-one, cloud-based software helping auto repair shops run smarter, grow faster, and serve customers better.
Built by a shop owner and shaped by the needs of the industry, Tekmetric brings together innovation, real-world experience, and a thriving community to help shops thrive - not just survive. From running a shop, to securing payments to engaging customers, our platform simplifies operations so shop owners can focus on what really matters: delivering exceptional service, earning trust, and growing sustainably.
Officially founded in Houston in 2017, Tekmetric has grown from a single shop’s vision to the industry’s leading solution - all by staying true to our values of transparency, integrity, innovation, and a service-first mindset.
But we’re not just building shop management software. We’re building a movement. We’re empowering repair shops to rise above the daily grind, create meaningful connections with their customers, and lead the industry forward - one interaction at a time.
Come build with us. Join the journey. Shape the future of auto repair.
Working the Tekmetric Way
At Tekmetric, we’re building a culture where winning matters - not for ego, but because when our customers win, we win together.
We move fast, stay curious, and take full ownership of our results — no excuses, no finger-pointing. If you thrive in ambiguity, take initiative, and view honest feedback as fuel for growth, you’ll feel right at home here.
We’re direct but respectful, ambitious yet grounded, and collaborative at every level. Everyone leads through impact and is encouraged to speak up, share ideas, and challenge assumptions (even your manager’s). This is a place for builders, not bystanders.
Success here takes focus, follow-through, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves — but if you’re driven by meaningful work and real results, it’s deeply rewarding. You’ll join a team that cares about the work, supports one another, and takes smart risks to achieve bold goals. Be yourself, stay mission-focused, and you’ll thrive. If that energizes you, we can’t wait to meet you.
Where We Work: At Tekmetric, great work happens anywhere, but great teams are built through intentional connection. We offer hybrid and remote work models based on your proximity to our office hubs. Because we value in-person collaboration, travel is an expected part of every role. We come together several times a year for team and company-wide offsites to align on goals and strengthen relationships. Attendance at these events is expected and fully supported.
Tekmetric is the leading platform for the automotive repair industry and we are growing fast. Having crossed $100M in ARR, we have a clear line of sight to $300M in the next 24 months. We have a core shop management platform that thousands of auto repair shops depend on every day, a growing suite of add-on products including payments and marketing, and more in the pipeline.
That growth creates real complexity — and we are building a product marketing function to match it. This Senior Product Marketing Manager role is a high-ownership IC position at the founding moment of that function. Where the Sr. Director sets the strategy, builds the function, and leads the team. This role is where the work gets done – owning meaningful execution across positioning, commercialization, enablement, and impact for your assigned product area. You will report to the Sr. Director of Product Marketing and do the research, build the frameworks, coordinate the launches, and track whether it's actually working.
If you want to own important work, operate with real autonomy, and leave a mark on how a market-leading company goes to market — this role was made for you.
What You'll Do
Own Market Validation and Obsess About Customer Insights
You will own market and customer research insights for the area of the product you own. This includes:
- Conduct rapid messaging tests to identify the winning message
- Identify core product / service needs amongst existing customers and shops not yet using Tekmetric. Synthesize these insights into executive-ready deliverables that informs company, product, and customer strategy
- Develop deep competitive insights across product, service, marketing, positioning/messaging. Identify competitors by direct vs. indirect competition, informing enablement, acquisition, and sales strategy
- Validate the market, product bets, and positioning to inform GTM
- Share these insights regularly with Product and establish yourself as a trusted partner across the entire product development lifecycle, not just GTM
Own Positioning and Messaging for Your Product Area
You will be the person who knows the buyer better than anyone else in the room and translates that knowledge into sharp, differentiated positioning that the whole company draws from.
- Run customer interviews, win-loss conversations, and ongoing competitive research independently — you don't wait to be pointed at sources
- Build and maintain positioning and messaging frameworks for assigned products and segments, grounded in buyer language and validated against real sales conversations
- Write the narratives that sales uses to win, marketing uses to build campaigns, and CS uses to drive adoption — and own them well enough to defend every word
- Keep messaging current as the product evolves, the competitive landscape shifts, and new buyer insight surfaces
Execute Go-to-Market for Your Products
You will take products from ready-to-ship to ready-to-win. You own the launch plan and you're the one who makes sure every team shows up with the same story.
- Build integrated launch plans covering positioning, enablement, campaign inputs, and success metrics — and drive them to completion without being managed through it
- Participate in roadmap conversations to support and influence launch readiness
- Coordinate across Sales, CS, and Demand Generation so launches land consistently. You're the connective tissue, not the air traffic controller waiting for reports
- Track adoption and win rate signals after launch and bring what you learn back into messaging before the next cycle starts
- Contribute to pricing and packaging decisions for your product area — bringing buyer and competitive intelligence into the conversation and pressure-testing assumptions with data
Enable GTM Teams to Win
- Create battle cards, objection-handling guides, and sales plays that are sharp enough to hold up in a real sales conversation
- Build persona-specific content that helps reps and CS speak the buyer's language in the moment they need it
- Partner with the Revenue and Customer Enablement teams on adoption and GTM readiness across customer-facing teams
Measure What Matters
- Define success metrics before the work starts, not after — pipeline influence, win rate movement, adoption rates, and expansion signals
- Report on business outcomes, not activity: launches shipped and decks built are not the scorecard
- Use data to identify what's working, close the loop, and sharpen the next thing you build
What You'll Bring
- 7+ years of product marketing experience in B2B SaaS, with a track record of owning positioning, launches, and enablement end-to-end
- A commercial mindset — you measure your work in pipeline, win rates, and revenue impact, not assets delivered or launches shipped
- Deep research and synthesis skills — you know how to get inside the buyer's world and turn what you learn into sharp, defensible positioning
- Proven ability to coordinate and execute launches across cross-functional teams without being managed through it
- Familiarity with pricing and packaging decisions — you've been close enough to the process to have a point of view and contribute meaningfully, even if you haven't owned it end-to-end
- Exceptional written communication — your messaging frameworks hold up in a sales call, a campaign, and a leadership review
- Comfort operating in ambiguity — you build structure around moving targets and don't wait for perfect information to start moving
- Active, meaningful use of AI in your day-to-day workflow — specific tools, specific use cases, a real point of view on where it extends your judgment and where it doesn't
- Vertical SaaS experience strongly preferred — experience selling into SMB or trades verticals is a meaningful advantage
