Pega Technical Lead

Job Summary

We are seeking a Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) with 4+ years of hands-on Pega development experience to design, develop, and enhance enterprise-grade case management solutions.
The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Pega architecture, integrations, data modeling, security, performance optimization, and Agile/Scrum delivery practices

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Design

• In-depth mastery of Pega Case Management, Enterprise Class Structure (ECS), Data Pages, and Rule Resolution.

• Deep experience integrating Pega applications with external systems via RESTful APIs and modern message brokers.

• Solid working knowledge of Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks.

• Familiarity with Pega Constellation (Pega's modern, React-based UI architecture)

• Ability to articulate complex technical challenges and architectural trade-offs to non-technical business partners clearly.

• Design complex case lifecycles, stage configurations, child cases, parallel processing branches, and appropriate locking models (optimistic vs. pessimistic).

• Implement advanced rule resolution strategies, circumstance definitions (single and multi-property), and ruleset management/branching workflows.

2. Integration & Data Modeling

• Integrations: Building and consuming services using protocols like REST, SOAP, JMS, and HTTP

• Data Transforms & Activities: Using data transforms for data mapping and knowing when (and when not) to use Activities for complex business logic to comply with Pega Guardrails

• Database Connectivity: Writing efficient Connect-SQL, Obj-methods, and managing database transactions

3. Security, Debugging & Performance Tuning

• Debugging Tools: Expert use of diagnostic tools like Tracer, Clipboard, PAL, and Loggers to find bottlenecks

• Security: Setting up Access Groups, Access Roles, and implementing proper security hardening

• Performance Optimization: Reviewing alert logs, troubleshooting slow-running queries, and managing background processing using Queue Processors and Job Schedulers 

Skill Requirements

Mandatory Certifications

Active Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) credential (usually preceded by the prerequisite Certified System Architect (CSA) certification) .

Years of Experience

4+ years of hands-on Pega Platform development experience, with at least 2+ years operating specifically at the Senior/CSSA level.

Education

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field .

Methodology

Deep familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks, DevOps pipelines, and Pega-specific delivery methodologies
