The Mobility Operations Rotational Program is for recent college graduates to rotate through several departments to gain exposure within different parts of the business for the first three years of their career. Upon completion of the program, you will have developed a broad set of technical skills while providing solutions to projects across the organization. These rotational roles may require the selected candidate to relocate and/or travel for their position.

The program is currently looking for an individual focused on digitalization and automation. This role will focus on improving business processes and performance through data analysis and problem-solving. Through collaboration with various teams across our manufacturing plants, you will analyze business processes and develop digital solutions to display and optimize results.  After development, you will then spend time across various functions including manufacturing, supply chain, capacity planning, engineering, etc. to implement these tools and drive their adaptation.

Examples of rotation assignments:

Manufacturing Operations and Maintenance Excellence: Develop a comprehensive understanding of how a world-class manufacturing facility operates by gaining hands-on experience in production, maintenance, safety, quality, and operational execution. Participants will build a strong foundation in plant operations by working directly with frontline employees, supervisors, engineers, and site leadership to understand the critical relationships between equipment reliability, manufacturing performance, workforce effectiveness, and business results.

During this rotation, participants will learn how daily operational decisions influence safety, product quality, customer service, productivity, and cost performance. They will develop practical problem-solving skills through exposure to production challenges, equipment issues, maintenance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives while gaining firsthand experience in leading operational improvements in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ultimate goal is to establish a strong operational mindset and a deep appreciation for how cross-functional collaboration drives manufacturing excellence.

Reliability Engineering, Asset Management & Process Controls: Build deep technical expertise in equipment reliability, asset management, process optimization, and industrial automation by applying engineering principles to improve manufacturing performance. Participants will learn how organizations maximize asset effectiveness through data-driven decision-making, preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, reliability engineering methodologies, and advanced process controls.

Throughout this rotation, participants will develop the analytical capabilities required to identify performance losses, diagnose root causes, assess equipment risks, and recommend sustainable solutions that improve reliability, safety, and operational efficiency. By working across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control-system disciplines, participants will gain a holistic understanding of how technology, engineering rigor, and operational discipline work together to increase plant performance and reduce lifecycle costs. This rotation is intended to strengthen technical depth while reinforcing the strategic role reliability engineering plays in supporting business growth and manufacturing competitiveness.

Capital Projects, Process Safety & Continuous Improvement: Develop the project leadership, strategic thinking, and change management skills necessary to lead complex operational improvement and capital investment initiatives. Participants will gain exposure to the full lifecycle of capital projects, from concept development and business-case justification through design, execution, commissioning, and startup. They will learn how engineering, safety, operations, maintenance, and business stakeholders collaborate to successfully deliver projects that enhance manufacturing capability and support long-term growth strategies.

In addition, participants will build expertise in process safety, risk management, and operational excellence methodologies while leading continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing costs, improving reliability, increasing productivity, and enhancing safety performance. Through direct involvement in project teams and improvement programs, participants will strengthen their ability to influence stakeholders, manage change, communicate technical recommendations, and translate engineering solutions into measurable business outcomes. By the conclusion of this rotation, participants will be equipped with the leadership and execution skills required to drive significant operational and organizational improvements across the enterprise.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Automation Engineering, or another related technical discipline.
  • Zero to three years of professional experience.
  • Internship, co-op, research, or project experience in manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, utilities, automation, process industries, or a related technical environment.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with operators, technicians, engineers, functional partners, and leaders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and an ability to analyze and communicate data.
  • Willingness to work in manufacturing and industrial environments.
  • Willingness to relocate or travel for rotational assignments, as required.
