Job Description:

Collects patient co-payments and sends them to the cashier daily. Requests and manages medical records from referring physicians and facilities. Performs clerical duties including scanning, photocopying, faxing, and mailing. Maintains electronic and manual filing systems and manages the clinic's electronic calendar. Assists in controlling supplies, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a neat and organized work environment. Supports staff with project-based work and collaborates on marketing efforts. Other duties as assigned. Schedules patients and establishes appointments in a timely manner. Registers all patients upon arrival and verifies insurance authorization in the electronic medical record. Contacts patients with appointment reminders and reschedules as needed. Validates and enters all charges from the previous day into the system.

  • Knowledge of outpatient hospital services. [Required]

Education:

  • Associate [Preferred]

  • Bachelor's [Preferred]

  • High School Grad or Equiv [Required]


Field of Study:

  • N/A


Work Experience:

  • 1+ year with medical front office functions [Required]

  • 3+ years or more years' experience in physician office or clinical setting [Preferred]

Pay Range:

$15.45 - $24.73
