Mechanical Supply Chain Project Manager
Key Responsibilities:
-Project Management
- Lead mechanical parts development from RFQ → PPAP → mass production. Need to follow up sample validation, trial production, mass production transfer, etc.
- Make and drive project timeline, milestone plan, track progress, identify risks and propose mitigation actions.
- Manage supplier project coordination, communicate delivery, quality, cost and technical issues with overseas / domestic suppliers.
-Engineering Collaboration
- Understand mechanical drawings, GD&T, BOM, manufacturing feasibility
- Collaborate with R&D, tooling, ME, and QA teams
-Supplier Management
- Work with machining, stamping, die‑casting, injection molding suppliers
- Evaluate supplier capability and capacity
- Support supplier root‑cause analysis and improvement actions
-Cost / Quality / Delivery
- Drive cost optimization initiatives (VA/VE)
- Ensure quality standards and PPAP documentation
- Monitor material availability and risk mitigation
Required Skills & Qualifications
-Technical Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or similar
- 3–7 years experience in mechanical component development or supply chain
- Strong understanding of mechanical parts processes:
- CNC machining
- Stamping
- Die casting
- Injection molding
- Surface treatments
-Project Management Skills
- PMP certification is a plus
- Experience leading cross-functional teams
- Risk management and mitigation
-Soft Skills
- Strong communication
- Stakeholder management abilities
- Analytical thinking and structured problem-solving
-Language Requirement
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Able to communicate with global customers, overseas suppliers and cross-border teams independently
- Can conduct English meetings, write English project reports, emails and meeting minutes
