About the Job
Thriveworks is looking for a Partnerships Manager to lead our West Coast Care Partnerships team and expand access to behavioral healthcare. You will manage and coach the Care Partnerships Associates who build and strengthen relationships with healthcare organizations and referral partners across the region, and you will own the territory strategy and measurable referral growth that results.
This is a player-coach role for a proactive, data-driven leader who can set direction, develop people, and personally support strategic accounts from initial outreach through long-term partnership growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the team: Hire, onboard, coach, and manage Care Partnerships Associates. Run regular 1:1s, pipeline and account reviews, and outreach coaching; set clear goals and hold the team accountable for activity and outcomes.
- Own regional referral growth: Accountable for the West Coast territory plan and targets for new client visits, referral growth, and new and expanded partnerships. Assign and rebalance portfolios so the highest-potential accounts get the right coverage.
- Set territory strategy: Guide associates in researching markets and prioritizing health systems, physician groups, primary care, OB/GYN, specialty practices and other referral sources by referral potential, performance, and strategic value.
- Drive outreach and reactivation: Ensure consistent, effective outbound outreach by phone, email, virtual meetings, and in-person engagement, and lead plans to re-engage declining or inactive partners and expand across providers, offices, departments, and locations.
- Support strategic accounts: Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at health systems and practices, join associates on high-value pursuits, and serve as the escalation point for partner issues.
- Improve the referral experience: Coach the team to help partners navigate the referral process, remove barriers to patient access, and adopt tools such as the Patient Referral Dashboard. Surface recurring partner needs and work with leadership and internal teams on fixes.
- Manage performance with data: Use Salesforce, Looker, dashboards, and referral data to evaluate individual and team performance, forecast results, and identify opportunities. Enforce CRM accuracy and follow-through on partner commitments.
- Collaborate across Thriveworks: Partner with Account Operations, Sales Operations, Marketing, Product, Clinical Operations, Data & Analytics, Billing, and other teams to address partner needs and support growth; help associates connect partners with the right internal resources.
- Contribute to Care Partnerships leadership: Share West Coast insights, help refine playbooks and best practices, and contribute to overall Care Partnerships goals alongside other regional leaders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in network development, business development, healthcare outreach, sales, account management, provider relations, or a related field, with a record of driving referral or revenue growth.
- 2+ years of experience managing or formally coaching team members (people management experience preferred).
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills, including with physicians, practice managers, and health system leaders.
- Confidence with outbound outreach and developing new relationships, and the ability to coach others to do the same.
- Comfort using data and performance metrics to set priorities and make decisions.
- CRM experience; Salesforce strongly preferred.
- Strong ownership, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- Familiarity with West Coast healthcare markets is a plus. Occasional travel for partner meetings and team events.
