About the role
This is the lead role for performance creative strategy across all WeightWatchers markets. You decide what we test, why we test it, and what we do with the answer. It is not a creative director role in the traditional sense: the work is judged on whether it brings in new members at a CAC we can afford, not on how it looks in a reel. You will manage one Creative Strategist, direct our production partners and creators, and serve two internal clients, US Growth and International Growth. The areas we weight most heavily are creative judgment backed by data, and building a system that turns one winning ad into a repeatable pattern.
What you will do
- Own the creative strategy and testing roadmap. Set a hypothesis-driven roadmap by program, audience, and market: what we say, to whom, in which format. Meta is the largest channel, followed by TikTok, Reddit, and Pinterest, with new ones as they appear.
- Turn performance into briefs. Read what is working and why, in our own account and in competitors' ads, and turn it into sharp briefs, hooks, and scripts for video and static.
- Run the test-and-learn loop. Launch variants with the media team, read the results, stop what does not work, and scale what does. Treat metrics as creative feedback.
- Build the system. Own the brief pipeline, the naming convention, and the tagging taxonomy, so that results can be read by concept, hook, format, and talent, and a single win becomes a pattern we can repeat.
- AI-native creative operations. We use AI tooling to tag, score, and brief creative. Use it to cut the time from insight to live ad from weeks to days, without lowering the bar on taste, and help decide what we build next.
- Production partners and creators. Direct our in-house creative team, production partners, and creator and UGC programs. Own scope, feedback, and quality, and say plainly when the work is not good enough.
- Work inside a regulated category. Our clinical programs carry real claim and compliance constraints. Partner with legal and clinical reviewers so briefs clear review the first time without losing their edge.
- Serve US and International. Balance priorities across markets, adapt winning concepts from one market to another, and make the call when both want the same production slot.
- Report what we learned. Own the weekly creative readout for growth leadership: what launched, what won, what we learned, what is next.
- Lead the team. Manage and develop the Creative Strategist. Raise their diagnostic skills and their confidence in making creative calls.
What you bring
- 6+ years in performance creative, creative strategy, or direct response, with accountability for a KPI
- A portfolio of paid social briefs, video and static, with the results they produced
- A clear point of view on what makes a good ad, and performance evidence to back it
- Hands-on fluency in Meta Ads Manager and creative analytics tools, and comfort pulling your own numbers
- Experience building or running a creative testing framework at volume
- Experience directing production partners, editors, and creators
- Experience managing or mentoring strategists
- A track record of using AI tooling to speed up research, briefing, or production. Come ready to show what you have made
- Strong writing. You can write the hook yourself
Base salary may vary depending on, but not limited to: skills, experience, and location. This role is also eligible for a comprehensive benefits package and annual bonus program.
