M&A and Business Development Manager

On-site Luxembourg

About the Role:

For our Ferrero Group Headquarters in Luxembourg, we are looking for an M&A and Business Development Manager with a hands-on transaction background and strong strategic judgement to help drive the Ferrero Group’s global inorganic growth agenda from the company’s headquarters in Luxembourg. The role is designed for a professional who has already built solid execution experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, corporate M&A, private equity or a comparable transaction-led environment, and is now ready to take ownership of complex projects in a global corporate setting. Working closely with the Global Head of M&A and a Senior M&A Manager, the successful candidate will contribute across the full M&A lifecycle, from origination and screening through assessment, execution and sign-to-close activities.
The position requires strong interpersonal maturity, analytical rigor and sound business judgment, combined with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-exposure environment. It offers direct visibility to Ferrero’s C-suite and senior executives, as well as attractive future career development opportunities within the Group.

Main Responsibilities:

As M&A and Business Development Manager, you will help identify, screen and evaluate inorganic growth opportunities, taking ownership of strategic, commercial and financial analyses that support Ferrero’s investment decisions.
You will be responsible for coordinating comprehensive due diligence processes, working closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors to evaluate target companies, market dynamics, competitive positioning, growth prospects and potential synergies with the Ferrero Group.
You will also build and review financial models, valuation analyses and investment cases to support decision-making.
You will prepare presentations and recommendation materials for senior management and contribute to sign-to-close activities, as required. You will also oversee overall project management, including fee negotiation, budget adherence and compliance with internal processes and procedures.
You will be expected to actively contribute to discussions around transaction structuring and the negotiation of transaction agreements.

About You:

You hold a master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Management or a related subject and have approximately 8–10 years of relevant professional experience in a transaction-intensive environment such as Investment Banking, Transaction Advisory, Corporate M&A, Private Equity or a comparable role.

You have been directly involved in M&A processes and are comfortable moving between strategic assessment, financial analysis, valuation work, due diligence coordination and senior-level presentation materials. You have fluency in English and have excellent command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

You have a strong analytical mindset, excellent attention to detail and proven project management capabilities, with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and work effectively across functions and geographies.

You bring an entrepreneurial mindset, strategic thinking and strong problem-solving skills, together with the interpersonal maturity to build credibility and influence across senior stakeholders. You are self-motivated, accountable and comfortable interacting with senior management and company executives in a clear, concise and business-oriented way. You work with genuine passion, resilience, and commitment, thriving in demanding, fast-paced, and often unpredictable environments.

You are flexible, result-oriented and available to travel internationally up to 25% of the time, including on short notice when project needs require it.

If you are a transaction-driven professional who combines analytical rigor, sound judgment and the confidence to operate with senior stakeholders in a global environment, we would like to hear from you.
