Lead Brand Designer
We’re hiring a Lead Brand Designer to join a small, fast-moving creative team and shape how Betr looks, sounds, and feels everywhere it shows up. This is a hands-on IC role with a lot of creative latitude. You’ll partner closely with the VP of Design across brand and product systems, campaigns, and work that moves culture. The brand is still early, so your work will leave a lasting mark on it. While this role is Miami-preferred, we are open to candidates from all locations and are focused on finding the best overall fit for the position.
What You'll Do:
- Strengthen Betr’s brand identity, evolve it as the company grows, and protect it over time.
- Drive design concepts end to end, from art direction to final execution, across brand, campaign, and marketing.
- Be a strategic design voice, working directly with product, marketing, and leadership.
- Find where Betr’s design can get better. When you see an opportunity, make the case and build it.
- Work with product design on in-app graphics (icons, illustrations, promo assets) and branded moments.
- Manage contract designers on overflow projects.
- Help grow an in-house brand team.
About You:
-
6–8 years of design experience at leading brands, studios, or agencies.
-
An exceptional portfolio that shows both your eye and your execution.
-
Great taste. This matters more than anything else on this list.
-
Confidence working independently and making your own calls.
-
The same level of care on a small asset as on a major campaign.
-
Experience across print and digital; product design experience is a big plus.
-
Willingness to switch between art director, strategist, and designer as the work demands.
-
A strong sense of what’s happening in art, culture, and design.
-
Comfort with ambiguity and a startup pace where things get figured out along the way.
-
Fluency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite; motion skills are a strong plus.
-
Experience leading freelance or contract designers.
-
Experience creating or reshaping a brand identity from scratch, ideally in-house or at a startup.
-
Interest or background in sports, betting, prediction markets, or other regulated industries.
-
Our calendar follows live sports, so expect some nights, weekends, and high-pressure moments.
-
If you work best with clearly defined lanes, heavy process, or close direction, this probably isn’t the right fit.
